Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club
Ever since we came together as a group of like-minded enthusiasts back in 1907, our Club has continued a tradition of adventure and discovery that we should all be proud of. That’s why we’re embarking on a journey of investment in the future of our Club.
It is with great pleasure that on our 110th anniversary, we welcome you to the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
While we’re still the same Club you know and love, we’re making some changes for the better.
We’re redefining who we are and what we stand for, to better reflect our growing Motorhomer membership, and improving the way we help you enjoy the outdoors to the fullest.
This is just the beginning; you can learn more about the exciting improvements we have in store at www.camc.com/discover

It appeared as if by magic. Don't know where cache is on phone. Please don't assume cos we use it we understand it haha. Think that seems to be general assumption here! Type face on latest activity pages is different curvyier?
Well that's the excitement over, thankfully not got to hang on in suspense til 1030.

Without anyone actually saying so, we now know why our handbooks have been delayed for so many months.
5 -
We delayed the delivery of your Handbooks so we could update them with the new logo and colours - we're already shipping them out now so you should all have your Handbooks by the first week of March

So the inconvenience of not having a new book and map on time was well worthwhile then?
Is it just me whose blood runs cold when I see management Buzz Words such as Inspire; Simplify; Pioneer; Inclusive used by an established firm who are currently failing to provide the service expected to CLs and CL users. It is almost as if they think that a new suit of clothes will improve the service.

We have a couple of fixes prepared for CLs that are scheduled to go live next week, pending testing. I'll let you all know when they're live and ready to go

I also see a single page but with 10 (maybe now 11) posts.

CL's have been asked to change their entrance signage to the new branding (among other changes).
The new signs will be posted to CL's in the next week or so.
These are the signs that will be displayed on the roadside so that members can easily find the entrance to a CL, so I'm sure the club carefully considered how visible they will be during the design stage...

Great sign. Are they 12 feet tall then?

We seem to have two threads started by Rochelle that are still open meaning comments appropriate to both, as well as one she has locked that has lost pages. Interesting.
Change is needed otherwise we get stuck but priority needs to be sorted or managed properly. Web issues have been ongoing since early December it's now been months and basics aren't sorted eg CL search reviews etc.

It'll look great in Winter covered in snow, road dirt etc......

For those of you that missed the live announce on Facebook from the NEC, I've posted the video in my opening comment here

So the new URL is "camc.com". Hardly supports our National identity - but hey, that's marketing for you.

I saw the new logo on my PC but have now logged in on my laptop and the old logo is still there - not the new one. How odd.

Not odd. That's just how the cache on your machine works. Does not waste your money downloading same thing over and over.

Hi Milliehull,
If you clear your cache you'll see the new logo - same thing happened to me this morning

It is only 5 minutes since the club changed ALL the signs, boards and uniforms to a lighter green (for some unknown reason) AND changed the names of various sites around the country (Why change Low Manesty to Borrowdale?).
This looks like another huge waste of OUR money (although it has been denied) . .so where is the money coming from?
Surely, spending some money on making the website more intuitive for users and not printing the club magazine in 6 point and red text for lots of the content (anyone heard of red/green colour blindness and need to wear glasses?) would be a far better use of funds?
I work in IT and can say that the CC or is it MH&CC or whatever website is not easy to navigate without trying many different routes in, coming out and starting a new search.
PS: Does this mean less pitches for caravanners?
Absolutely not, we’re an inclusive community that will always treat all members equally. THE USE OF "LESS" HERE IS INCORRECT, SHOULD BE "FEWER"!1 -
Perhaps not. If the motor caravans are to get the big pitches then the trailer caravans are relegated to the small ones. That's "less".

It's taken me about 20 mins to get on here, as Rochelle said clear the browser history and now all the new signage is visible.
So we're the CMC now are we? We have had a lot of past discussions on here to make the name more inclusive. That's ok, I like the logo.
Now let's see some improvements for everyone who uses the club, that would really be good. Let's have a discount pitch sale like the other club!!

Glad to see motorhomers finally recognised by the club but you have a long way to go to stop them feeling like second class citizens on site.
Why do we have to pay the same pitch fees for a single vehicle as the caravan, car and a monster awning next door? Most motorhomers don't have a car or an mega awning with them. Will the club look at this and perhaps provide reduced pitch sizes for motorhomes (not requiring this extra space) at a reduced cost?
Some of the rules that work well for caravans do not work well for motorhomes but we have to abide by them, reversing into pitches is an obvious one whether or not you have a UK or continental unit.
