Motor Mover Remote Repair
I have a Truma Mover SE fitted but I'm experiencing problems with intermittent performance of the remote control. The problem seems to stem from corroding batteries at some point in the past. I have found a company that claims to service remotes, Remotefixer and would like to know if anyone has used them and if so can pass on their experience before I entrust my box to them.

HI dmiller555, Where do you store your remote control? we keep our in our home never had any problem with corroding, are you keeping it in the van? may be the battery is old? if you put new one in and still having problem, it may be the caravan battery need
replacing, I had a problem with remote control and change the van battery from 85 amp to 110 amp and it work much better and it quieter, Good Luck Elsa0 -
The problem is internel corrosion in the remote caused by leaking batteries. I suspect that the batteries were not removed by the previous owner when they stopped using the van. The remote does work but unreliable because of damaged battery contacts.
I have cleaned them as well as I can but it really needs taking apart and the battery contacts replacing hence my question about whether anyone had experience of the company trading as Remotefixer.

Thank you both for your help, I have brought a new one from eBay. When I have that set up and working I shall send the original to AR Electronics for service and then keep it as a spare.

I paid £54, it was listed as used but looks new to me. One can only compare it to the new price.
I have yet to send the faulty unit away for repair, your post is a timely reminder to do so.
