Saga car insurance will do that  - provided you are over 50. Bet you are!

When I had a SAGA policy for my towcar it seemed to allow 365 day use in Europe although I never delved into the detail which perhaps you should just to be sure. What about personal cover for when you are away?

Personal/medical cover for the full 12 months can be found on line under the name Backpacker Insurance - I forget which company my children used when they went walkabout, but there are lots of options under that name.

If you need Breakdown Cover for 12 months try ADAC of Germany I can give you details of joining and send you full cover in English if you need it.  An excellent price too. You can read more on here

If you are going for a long period of time, it is lso worth checking your house insurance to make sure you house is covered while leaving it vacant for an extended period of time, or to make sure you ar complying with the terms and conditions of your household insurance.

    Just a thought.....
