A Suggestion
Because of all the problems that the new web site is having could those at HO close down the CT section, and other's that have relatively few visits or do not bring in any finance, and concentrate on sorting out the booking systems on club sites & CLs, which are the core business of the Club? There are relatively few members who use CT on anything like a regular basis, 200 maybe, possibly 400, where as many thousands use use both the club sites and CLs

I suspect it doesn't work like that. So many parts of the website are interconnected it might even have the opposite effect. The IT Department will no doubt have a plan which they are working to and to change that might be counter productive. Some of you, no doubt will suggest it couldn't be any worse going by some of the comments but we don't know that. Perhaps we should ask Rochelle to request from the IT Department a bit of background on how they are tackling things and in what order and perhaps why they have to be in that order?

Nellie, that sounds like common sense to me so, unfortunately, it's not likely to happen.
Rochelle could concentrate on her non-forum tasks so would be fine, AD.

Based on the evidence, I would question the ability of those involved to sort anything out.

Personally I don't think the new site is too bad now I am used to it, just find it very slow.
Booking's seem to work OK for club sites and all my CL searches are OK. Think they just need to sort out the niggles people have raised and remember its only been about 6 weeks since the new site was opened and we had Christmas in that period so hopefully by the end of February they can give it an update.

+1 MT, it's quite usable for me, there seems nothing I can't do on this one that I did on the old one. Jobs a gud un.

A bike with a rusty chain and buckled wheel might still move but it won't be a pleasant experience. Same with this website.

CY, the bike may not be a pleasant experience but it'll get me there plus I'm not a 'time centric' person. There's always time to stop & smell the flowers in my World, a few seconds here & there ain't all of that

If it was a straight choice between having the CL software working perfectly-- or--- the CT section,........ My choice would be 100% behind the CL section.
The CC and it's customers can easily manage without CT. But the CL section is important for the CC business and it's customers.

Admittedly I don't visit the CL section that often but I have just been there to look for CL's near Hull. I had two choices with good descriptions. The one I was interested in had a comprehensive review. I did use the filters which seemed to work. So given my inexperience what are the problems?

Thought this had been ask for and ignored on a couple of previous occasions

The CL search has inched forward, the facilities search now appears to be working.
Regarding CLs. The problem now is reviews, some which had reviews now don't have any and some reviews have been attached to the wrong CL. Imagine how the CL owners are feeling when a bad review appears on their site.
For example, a CL we have used in Cornwall doesn't have any reviews. Previously it had a handful including one from me but possibly due to a cut off date the reviews have been discarded leaving none.
The search for CLs also does not take you back in a logical pattern. If I search for the CL I mentioned via Cornwall, then Wadebridge when I go back to other towns in Cornwall it produces a list of all UK towns rather than towns in Cornwall.
I'm sure the fixes are in the pipeline but what a long pipeline for all those who have CLs or want to use them.

This is doing something good strange! Kept taking my go a thread started by Kennie soon after site reopened 😣. Anyway enough of that.
I had cause to use live chat tonight. According to the agent, who was also having trouble located bits on the website. It is being worked on and will be sorted. 😂😂😂. I would imagine that they are getting a lot of flack.

Me, too. I keep getting this.
Sorry that was meant to be a screenshot of the erroneous page but it won't upload.
I give up.

This just keeps getting dafter and dafter. Now there are supposed to be 22 other posting on this subject, but when I try to go back to page one all I get is the Tread started by Kennine, and not mine. It's a complete disgrace. Even the thread that you closed David has lost a couple original responses. Come on HO please please please get this web site sorted out!!! It's rubbish at the moment.

WN, I can't speak for everyone nor would I try, that's why I posted-'usable for me' & it is usable for me-the job is a gud un(for me)

Perhaps you can explain how you achieve this utopian state, R2B, as for the majority the website is a total disaster. The fact that random bugs appear and disappear on a daily basis is clear indication that the IT team are totally out of their depth and haven't got a clue.

CY, mainly because I don't use most of the site, I use what suits me & for that it works just fine. Plus I don't have any 'ownership' issues, I don't expect much & it delivers to my expectations. Utopian state?, I think we both know that is a myth

I found Bakers2 post encouraging quote “I had cause to use live chat tonight. According to the agent, who was also having trouble located bits on the website. It is being worked on and will be sorted. 😂😂😂. I would imagine that they are getting a lot of flack.”
Unfortunately can't get to read all the pages on this thread. Ifind I can use CC for what I need to do - booking main sites etc. which I guess [& it’s only a guess] is what the vast majority of members use the site for so I hope the rest will be sorted to everyone’s satisfaction asap.

Still no response from HO about why this has happened.....am I surprise? No in the least. They no longer care about anything that members think these days.
