Very cold here too. Thermometer said -1.8c and 1230 colder than yesterday but we have breeze brrrrrr. Washing frozen on the line 😂 within half an hour of being pegged out. I know this cos I had cause to go past it. Dog had walk into town to get odds and ends from market, her favourite walk 😉. MrB2 stood outside whilst I nipped into a couple of shops he delighted but his input was needed. Still killed 2 birds with one stone. Stay warm folks.

Cold here in Bristol today, had a lovely day out. We took the ferry into town and then beyond, stayed on board and then got off near the old town, went and had a look at the old market there and had lunch at one of the stalls, really tasty food. Then it was a walk down to the city centre and the ferry back to SS Great Britain, couple of hours going around it was interesting. Ferry back to site, now warming up with a cuppa. We've enjoyed our short visit to Bristol, the ferry from out the back of the site is excellent value £3 pp CC discount price, hop on and off all day return.
Off tomorrow to see the kids.

Bakers2, I only work part time and am lucky enough to work hours to suit, it's only a small company and there is only me in the office. When it's busy I often work more hours, but less when it's quieter.

Bit busier at work, payroll, but boss in office today getting in the way.laughing Just had a message from youngest son to say he has passed his theory driving test. He's only just decided to learn to drive.

That's really bad luck, Helen, as I'm almost certain that we'll be in the area then.wink

Still looking for our itinerary sheets! Pretty certain that we're booked to stay on a CL at Flamborough. Must admit I forgot to look for the sheet last night and oonly had a "Mans look" tonight. Must ask Mrs WN where I put it!

I'm in Bristol a lot to see the family and I was hoping you'd be enjoying it. As it's freezing cold here I guessed it wouldn't be much warmer on the harbourside! We're booked in there March sometime and again in the summer, just a couple of short breaks. Sad to think it won't be there next year. cry

Hope you have a good time with the family.

Hope everyone else is ok, have been reading your posts so I know what you're all up to! wink

Can't remember when I last ate toffee and don't like sweet things but not always been like that so I guess my past misdemeanours are catching up with me.

Thank goodness I was never into fat food establishments!

Very suny here meantime, but cold.  Off out to see if the old towing mirrors will fit the new car.

Any regrets about the new car?

Thanks WN, recovery was very quick, stopped hurting within a few hours and was all healed up in a couple of days.

New car seems excellent so far, still trying to work out how to use all the gadgets.  Really need to sit in it with the handbook for a few hours and go through everything, but it's far too cold at the moment.

You feel the speed in it less than in the Volvo, so I will need to keep a close eye on that!  Acceleration is very good and I like the auto hold on the brakes.

Towbar fitting went well ( at Indespension) and the final appearance is very neat, hardly visible at all.  Only downside of that is that it is a bit more difficult to connect electrics and breakaway cable.

The Volvo towing mirrors fit very well, so that was a bonus.  We are more or less all sorted for our first trip now.

Today started off VERY frost. It took ages to defrost the cars. It is now raining. Mr H had his follow up appt after his cataract op this afternoon. All good. Left eye to be operated on 7th March. Hopefully we will be able to get away with caravan shortly after that. smile

Glad to hear all well with Mr H. When my Mum had hers done she said she felt 10 years younger, she had much more confidence going out.

Very cold last night but no frost this morning, good drive to the CL at lunchtime, all sorted then lunch and off to see the Gkids, they didn't know we were coming so big hugs and smiles all round. Had lovely meal courtesy of DIL.

Great news milliehull hopefully all sorted before the real spring starts allowing plenty of trips.

Very cold start here again I was surprised on the thickness of ice on the bird water again. We still have 5 circles slowly defrosting so shows how cold it's been.

Son's plane landed according to flight info. 1.15 hours late going up apparently and similar landing. I haven't heard from him, despite welcome home message 😉. Anyone would think it's a long trip LOL. Took off 0120 12 hr flight 3 hr stopover plus delay 12 hr flight and it's still only 1900. I believe they'll be planning a wedding 😃.

Fingers crossed for the results once results they have been analysis ed.  It's amazing how knowing you can't do something makes it all the more appealing. On the rare ocassion we have someone in to do some work I have a urge to do housework. Second they leave so does the urge 😂

We'll arrange for a meeting. I'll drop you a line nearer the time. We're away down south for Spring and get back home around about the 7th. June so a couple of weeks to recycle the mail, clean the van etc.

Haven't been to the Yorkshire coast for quite a number of years so looking forward to it.
