Is it me ! Or because there's no stars

I can't argue with the fact it is slow. However, you should be able to add pictures ruby. Although these do need resizing first. I downloaded a free resize app to enable this. I am using an iPad 3,and as you can see below it is possible. What you definitely still can't do on the pad is change your avatar. That still requires a PC.

Ruby hopefully this link to a resize app, will take you to the App Store. It is very good and easy to use. I resized landscape photos to 500 wide and 375 high and saved them back into photos. They do not overwrite the originals. You then select them from photos by touching the add photos, although this sometimes takes several presses. You can go to slightly bigger picture sizes if you are only posting 1. However, if doing 5 I found this the maximum safe size.

The Main reason I don't post much now , is as I stated earlier I use my ipad mini most /all of the time and cannot access the site for some reason using it. Only sometimes like today I need to use my office where I have a laptop using this I can access the site.

My iPad mini is 4 yr old now works fine for everything on other sites, but this site Mmmmm and since this new forum seems very slow , click click click so yes it is pain

Exactly, papgeno CC forum is not iPad friendly

Given the number of problems with iPads I am surprised most of you haven't thrown them in the bin

Maybe I'd rather throw CT in the bin, David.

iPad user here with no major issues. If I go too high on the screen the grey banner is dropped down, I scroll to the bottom & it disappears. I also tap once then wait a few seconds. In the top left of the screen is the std 'buffering circle' that tells me the Tab is reacting to my instruction, so no need for further taps. I also have a Samsung TabA6 but the IPad is my default choice. Like Tinny I'd drop the forum before the Tab.

The IPad is a quite well designed piece of hardware. (Expensive and not exactly good value for money). Its just a pity that the IPad uses the Apple IOS.----- It's poor, has compatibility issues with many websites, and cannot be tweeked to improve performance. ----If I had one I would just use it for gentle quick browsing the net ----- but if I wanted to do proper intensive work on the internet, I would choose a quality piece of hardware and load it with a proper operating system. I have 3 of those and they all work perfectly.
Cheers .........................K

+1, I find the ipads superb working with other Apple/IOS devices, but attempt any form of interaction with other formats & the Apple device rejects it, it will then offer an alternative that Apple supports(Apple kit) at a high price. I've slowly been replacing my Apple kit with Android devices, they accept interaction with Apple/IOS kit. My Ipads will still be my first choice until they fail mind.

Whhooooaaa!
On a rare occasion, I have to disagree with my friend from north of the border.
Apple use a 'closed' operating system. That is, it is not open to developers to meddle with as they see fit (witness the many versions of Android, a lot of which lose a great deal of functionality when converted to, for example, a Kindle version) or the fact that all and sundry can meddle with Microsoft software.
By contrast, Apple protect their software from meddling. All apps are vetted by Apple before being made available.
Macs have a far better reputation for avoiding malware etc than Microsoft.
If only I could afford a Mac!

Well thats a great proposal David, I think you as a MOD should be helping members use this site not making silly suggestions like that..Lets face it this new site has gone from bad to worse!

Well as someone who used to post on a regular basis on CT I migrated away away about two weeks after the so called re launch of the new web site. I am now happily ensconced on a new we site and am really enjoying the experience.
It's got nothing to do with stars, or any rubbish like that. It's all do do with the freedom of using a friendly web site that works well. Is not slow and cranky, and is also the home of many old friends who left this site long ago. I still monitor this site from time to time but do not regret my decision to leave. For me it was all about the CC's failure to listen to our requests and their absolute failure to live up to their promises to deliver a totally new and up to date forum.
So with much regret, for I truly wanted this new web site to succeed, I remain logged out.

I am very close to jumping ship as well. I'm going to give it until the end of the month to see if the IT department can at least sort out some of the basic faults with this site.

Not sure I would jump ship totally but I am getting very frustrated with it all and think it is time to give it a rest and perhaps come back when it all, if ever, gets sorted! At the moment I have grave doubts anything is going to change.

The discussion area is working well for me via windows 10 chrome and a laptop. It's also working well on my Android phone although the horizontal scrolling is awkward.
The main website has improved a lot but the CL and rally sections are lagging behind. I still can't search via a location for rallies, I have to wade through each centre programme. CL searches are poor, reviews missing and still no photos for many CLs. I get all my details on line for bookings and venues so I will be using the web site and the discussion area.

My comments were tongue in cheek, I am surprised you have taken them so seriously? It seems that there are both Apple and Windows users who can use the forum perfectly well. We all accept it is far from perfect but we will have to give it time and I suspect more time than we originally thought as any progress seems quite slow. If people have made up their minds that the forum is unuseable how can I help them?

It is really up to readers and contributors to join in and improve the situation. Chatting with each other keeps CT going. It is not exclusive to a certain group although it might appear like that sometimes due to lack of input from others.. All are welcome to join in or start new threads. Too much negativity can dampen down responses

I have noticed there is a tendancy for some new posters to come on and ask a question, then they are never heard from again.
No "thanks for the help", or feedback on how their problem was resolved eventually.
A "thank you" makes people feel appreciated and they are more likely to take the time to help in the future.
And feedback on a problem can be very useful to others.
I think this was mentioned a while back too, but the situation does not seem to have improved.
