Camping Cheques - can we still buy 'them'

I realise that Camping Cheques have now gone 'electronic' and from this year can only be loaded on to a Gold or Silver card.  Does this mean that they are no longer available through the Caravan Club (even as part of a ferry crossing package)?  All mention of them seems to have gone from the Ferry Bookings page  and the link elsewhere takes you to old information which hasn't been updated with the recent changes.

Val, go back a few pages to a thread on this subject started on 13.12.2016.  In it DK published a full statement from the Club - saying they will continue to sell paper Cheques at a flat rate of £15.95 in packages with ferry crossings - and they will be valid till the end of 2018.

Click Overseas Holidays, then click Search and Book (top left) and it still gives you the option of buying paper Cheques with a ferry booking. Minimum there is 7 Cheques but minimum on phone bookings is 5 Cheques. I have never understood why!

Hi Val, As ET says you now need to go to Search&Book. I tried going to Book a Crossing, as I always have, and the option to add cheques was not there so ETs info has helped.

I did not get an e-mail bit a call a couple of weeks after DKs post and the lady confirmed that paper cheques were not affected and would continue to be offered meaning ITX fares are still available......for now!

I have not used a cheques card so will notice no difference and having looked at lots of posts in regard to what people do when not using the cheques seems that paper is probably a bit more flexible.

Hi if like me you want to check ferry price with cc, you first need to add some to your basket... from club site under camping cheques, then add ferry detail... to get a price your not committed to purchase at that point.

I can make a save of £139.80 + 7 Cheques on return crossing Poole-Cherbourg 25 May- 6 July hope this helps.... it appear the cc site is being remapped opening on the 1 Feb 17

Thanks everyone, particularly Eurotraveller, I found tCamping Cheques using the method Eurotraveller posted - but interestingly going in to the Ferry search any other way (through the Book a Crossing link, any of the other Ferry links or via the Camping Cheques link) doesn't seem to produce the same page.

Not me gov. Credit is due to InaD who cracked the code a while ago in true Bletchley Park style and let the secret out.
