Caravan manufacturers
l have now been waiting for my front off side light in the grab handle since July, admittedly its only for appearance. My dealer tells me its down to Lunar to supply and according to them l am not on my own, anyone out their been waiting. l believe manufacturers monitor these sites so if a enough of us give them bad press maybe it might sink in .Any Thoughts

In my experience they are all as bad as each other.The last time i tried to get a part i bypassed the dealers and went straight to the makers to try and save time and even they then gave me the impression they would much rather put the part on a new van than sell it too me.I had a broken rear window on a swift and was due to go abroad and as i remember it took at least three phone calls to people higher and higher up the ladder and a lot of arm twisting each time to get the part before the trip.The whole industry has a poor reputation for build quality and after sales service and has done for far too long IMO.

+1..... and don't hold your breath expecting any of the clubs to do anything on behalf of the mere members who pay to keep the clubs going... i have said before, it needs a new consumer style caravan club which is focused on members and lobbying to improve all aspects of caravanning.

Its a pity build quality is being substituted for some daft ideas such as putting LED Lights in grab handles, appearance? flash maybe but totally useless, which is only results in the inevitable aggro when it goes wrong. Some ideas are really good, one of the better ones in recent years is the fitting of heating programmers to enable a warm caravan on return. All in all would`nt Lunar be better selling its top of the range caravans with more emphasis on build quality rather than twinkling lights.
Rant for Lunars consumption.

I'm afraid I suspect a 6 month wait isn't unusual. We had parts replaced on on our Bailey under warranty and had similar waits- it isn't acceptable but manufacturers seem to be a law unto themselves and only want to get more vans out there! I can't imagine having to wait 6 months for a part for my car!

Have to say the delay looks excessive even by current standards and I do wonder if they really have this at Lunar. Their reputation for spares is not good but it is also the same for the rest.
The firms do not seem to care about their reputation as the internet is littered with complaints many far worse than yours with no response.
