Thanks HD. Might ask the vet about one of those - it'd do less damage to the doors and walls too!

Glad to hear that Harry's had the problem removed his foot, but I'm sure he won't be too happy wearing the collar. That's a strange place to find ticks, I think. Hope that his wound clears up by the time you go back on Thursday.

Can you please wish a belated Happy Birthday to Mrs WN from both of us. Hope that you both are enjoying your stay at Bath, and that the weather's not stopping you getting out and about.

Happy anniversary to both B2 & TG. Hope both of you and your respective other half's had a great day.

Glad that neither of you were injured ET, although it must have bee quite a shock. As you say it's a good job that it didn't happen with the van on the back. Will you fix it yourself or is it a garage job?

Cheers, Nellie. Mrs.WN says thanks. Made her get up and make us our morning cuppa as birthdays have to be different, don't they?

Weather? What weather? No point having boots and waterproof clothing if you don't use them.wink

Car going for repair tomorrow morning. Low loader courtesy of Mayday booked for tomorrow morning. May well get front shocks replaced as well as coilsprings.

The recovery vehicle actually turned up this morning as the control centre had given wrong date to recovery driver. smile

Just sorted the insurance for the new car, which we are getting on Thursday, have paid some extra on current polisy and will get quotes at renewal at the beginning of March.

Ordered floor mats and boot tray, all now arrived, and towbar fitting organised, so I think we have covered everything meantime.

Shopping this afternoon......fridge is bare now as we have not shopped since New Year, other than milk.

Both still have this really annoying tickly cough.

Congratulations to your son on his new job Helen. You will have to arrange some sites in the area for your visits to see him.  I understand that Manchester is a great place to live and Cumbria and the Lakes are close by.

Catching up on your news, have been semi-out of action due to the cold and cough bug. Had a good sleep last night after running up a temperature.

I see we'll be able to spot the real Triky in his van and wont be waving at the wrong person! wink

Just fought my way through the centre of Birmingham after an appointment at the dental hospital.  Glad to be back home.  The bad news is that I've got another appointment next week at the same time so will have to go through it all again.

Not done much today, went to Tesco's for the first time in over 12 months, not a supermarket I like, but wanted to see if they still sold  my dinnerware as I'd chipped as plate, they don't now! Mind you can't remember how long I've had it.

Work still quiet, so home early, can get on with some more knitting.wink

Started tiling the kitchen walls today, after removing the radiator and other prep work yesterday.

One wall was like a banana, so had to do a lot of 'adjusting' which took longer than it should.

Anyway, half the wall done, ready for grouting so the new radiator can go on (otrdered one today).

Still away in Bath. Drove to the P&R on the outskirts of Bristol. Traffic was a nightmare near P&R. Caught the bus straight away, only because he was a half an hour late!

Spent a long time looking around the SS Great Britain as never been to Bristol before. Wonderful to see. I love history.

Then had a lovely meal at San Carlo in the centre. Enjoying not cooking, a big holiday for me.

2 more days then homewards. Weather was dry so we were happy.
