Tried to do a quote yesterday for a ferry, but no drop down box for number of dogs travelling with you although the wording is there.  Pointless going ahead with the quote as the costs will be way out as we have three dogs.

Three dogs on tunnel about £100  return, three dogs on ferry to Spain about £200 return -  just get your your quotes and add in those dog prices separately.

Thanks ET, but you cannot book the crossing as the form is incomplete.  Just been to do a quote for the ferry to Spain and you still cannot select the number of dogs although it looks like a drop down list.  The link simply does not work.  Do they ever check before they launch a new look website on unsuspecting members?

After trying to book Eurotunnel over the last couple of days I eventually gave up and phoned the Club. Saved £23 but I was tempted to book direct with Eurotunnel as their website actually works.

Eventually we had to phone the club to do the booking.  What is a the point of a website that does not work properly?

BTW we had to make two phones, one to get a quote and the other to confirm.  However within the space of about 10 minutes the price went from £320 to £520 an increase of £200 for the Caen ferry.  On querying it again, same price however the web was showing a lower price at £503.

The operator then realised that they had inputted July instead of June.  The price then dropped to about £402 and on querying this it seems the original operator on the first call had omitted the dogs.  IMHO the original operator was experiencing the same fault as us reagrding the booking not showing the dogs and was at the HQ side and not just the website.

    This is not good!

We've had a similar problem when looking for a quote for a DFDS ferry. We can input our outbound journey but it won't let us input the return - even when you click the wording, there's a blue tick but it isn't recognised when you try to continue the booking.  Eventually we booked direct instead.

The most frustrating part of this is that I reported this exact same iPad problem in October 2015 and it still hasn't been fixed, even on the new website.

Surfer, your comments regarding the mistakes made by the telephone operators are worrying too!  How on earth would you ever prove that the error wasn't your fault, if it hadn't been spotted?
