Red Pennant renewal issue

Our multi trip motoring only cover expires towards the end of our overseas stay. We want to do the renewal now, but the website will not let you enter a date for the future and only selects today's date.  This year we want to add Personal cover for the tow of us but again you cannot alter the start date.

Also when inputting the vehicle and caravan details it asks for a model key?  The caravan is a Buccaneer Cruiser end of story and no model key.  You cannot proceed unless you enter a model key.

    There is that option, but I am wondering why the CC have a website if you cannot use it properly?

    I agree, when renewing something as important as insurance we always prefer to ring and speak to someone.  It's fine to look online, but when you have any questions, rather than try and find answers online, I much prefer to ask a real person.

    TBH I don't think there is anything complex about renewing Motoring only insurance if circumstances have not changed.  Personal insurance is a different matter. 

    As it turned out, the insurance expires a day after we return home so will leave renewing until our next trip in June.  Although we have a Nationwide account which could cover breakdowns, unfortunately our caravan exceeds the 8m by 14cm so need to use RP.  We do not have any issues with RP and no qualms about paying to renew with them.
