Advise needed on intimate sites (Closed)

Hi, we are travelling to France with the caravan this summer and looking for sites to stay but they all seem to be massive just catering for families and children, can any one recommend smaller intimate site like we have CL's over here ?

    This is an often asked question and the answer generally is that CL site as we know them in the UK don't exist except a few English owned and run sites. France has thousands of campsites and there is a large choice of smaller sites with say up to 50 pitches. Many of them are Municipals. Don't forget also that many campsites out of the main holiday period will be fairly quiet. As far as recommendations are concerned we will need a bit more detail of what area of France you want to visit as its a pretty big country!!!
