Irun to Alicante, which way is easiest?

I posted this on an earlier thread and someone else followed with the same question. As we havent had any answers and the thread is old I am asking again.

We are crossing into Spain on the 22 January. Which route is best? easiest? most scenic? least likely to have snow?

The N121A or the A15 have been suggested by Via Michelin. As its a Sunday will there be juggenauts on the N road?

Also on the old site there was a link to get snow reports for the Pyrenees, I cannot find it on the new site.

Can anyone help?

I did that route solo about ten years back around the same time of year. It was fairly cold but didn't encounter any snow. At this time of year it's always going to be a possibility though.

Thats the route we took back from Alicante in December, best route but high tolls very little traffic. Dont over night stop on municipal site in Zaragoza far to many TRAVELLERS.

Nothing wrong with the municpal site in Zaragoza when I stayed there last year. It is certainly fine for a night stop. The web site for weather in the Pyrenees is >here<
