Hi, I have recently been away in the caravan for a few days. Water heater worked well to start with but then I realised the water pump was cutting in every minute or so. Suspecting a leak somewhere I searched inside the van with no success. Looking underneath the van I found a steady trickle of hot water coming from the clear ventilation hose. I am thinking that the breather valve is probably faulty or has something more sinister gone wrong. I would be grateful for any ones thoughts please. David

Checked the 'dump valve ' ?? Sometimes opening & closing it a few times helps it seat better !! .

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did do that without success. If I am explaining myself right it is the red valve at the top of the boiler which has a clear plastic hose leading to the outside underneath the caravan which is leaking the hot water.

That failed on my last caravan, the same week away that we left the step behind at home and the toilet flush joined too in by continually flushing. As a temporary measure, as were were in the back of beyond, I found a stainless M5 bolt was a perfect fit when screwed into the end of the valve (where the clear hose goes). The toilet flush was dismantled & re-fitted and worked. And we ended up with a far better Milenco step.

I'd not before either & at first I thought I'd not shut the drain tap, but as water was still pouring our after I'd closed the drain again I found the problem. As said, I found a M5 bolt screwed in very nicely I wouldn't have thought they failed frequently enough for a spare to be carried
