After nearly five months if being grounded, I have finally persuaded DVLA that I can actually see where I'm going and my licence was reinstated yesterday. Now I can start some serious planning for 2017.

    Gizza chance, I've only just taken my prized bit of plastic out of the envelope. From my perusal of bits of this website, I think I might await the arrival of the new handbook in the hope that it will be a more reliable guide to sites and CLs than the website.

    I'd hoped that after a two week absence on my cruise there might have been some progress in rectifying the numerous errors and poor design of the new site but it seems to be in exactly the same execrable state it was when I left. I notice that this morning there is no indication whatsoever of what posts are unread. So from indicating the number of posts from previous login, rather than 'unread' posts, it has now gone to telling us absolutely nothing. So that bit has gone from slightly broken to completely broken.

    The site does show new posts which in general is what I am looking for.

     Many congratulations CY and a happy new year to you! 

    I too lost my licence (for 6 months) through an injury during service.  Not only is it enormously frustrating, but some thought my pedestrian status was as a consequence of drink driving!! 

    I hope that you're able to make up for lost time when the handbook is issued - this new website seems to have as many faults as a new caravan  ;o)
