A quiet rather grey day here today. Waiting to see if storm Barbara arrives this evening as predicted. Hope it doesn't arrive too early as eldest grand-daughter has driven over to see her other Grandma and Grandad near Melton Mowbray for the day. We are taking 2 grandsons to the Panto this afternoon which should be good fun .............Oh yes it will 😄

Sunny and bright but breeze increasing but still 9C.  Couple of hours until chaos reigns in this household, lovely.

But blustery here today, no rain yet, picked up the final bits from town this morning. Few hours at work this afternoon.

Expecting both boys about 6 ish tonight, depending on the traffic, then let Christmas begin. ☺

    Happy Christmas everyone.🎄🎅

Sitting here feeling smug. Not had to go out today. However, not checked that all is well in vittels store cupboard so don't know if I've forgotten anything yet.

They're still open tomorrow, aren't they?

Just having late lunch. Shopped the fresh fruit and veg on foot with our backpacks. Prepared a couple of LARGE pans of roast veg not enough oven space on Christmas day and they heat up well 😃. Will freeze some too, grate for topping jacket potatoes or whizzing into soup. Also made a pan of vegetables soup & just waiting for it to cool to liquidise once I've finished my late lunch.

Breezy here but dry in fact I pegged my towels out on return from town about 1130 and they're doing nicely! Unexpected 😮. Thermometer says 9.5c but feels cooler. Couple of bits still to wrap then off duty for the day.

Tomorrow last minute vac thro and bathroom clean plus veg prep before watching granddaughters unwrap a few bits in NZ. Son collecting my mother on his way through on Christmas day so leisurely start to family Christmas day, more Skype with NZ on their boxing day so almost us all in the same room gorgeous a little while 🙄

Happy Christmas to you all. 🎅🌲🎄🎉🎁

Using my Samsung phone more pleasant experience than kindle Fire. 🤐🤐 at least I think it is.

Glad you had a good time there was someone asking on here about Cuba just after you went 😃. Dramatic temperature relaxation change. Why didn't you stay for Christmas?  😂😂.

    Enjoy the new CT 😉

That's worrying 😐.  Good job you'd spotted. Hope the action taken keeps things safe.

Heard of a woman tailgating a carer entering sheltered housing complex this week. Luckily the scheme manager challenged her she legged it and jumped into a waiting car. Sadly the scheme manager's last day today not being replaced. Vulnerable elderly.

Thanks B2, not a very pleasant discovery but has made us check things over properly. Too many neighbours away at the moment but can't do much about that. Keep safe everyone.

Just finished a kfc delivery in Lancing. No more orders after that so we're back at the caravan having a cup of tea and a slice of Yule Log.

Apologies Triky,  embarassed but it wasn't called kyngs Well when we lived there. Our pub was further up the road The Wheatsheaf, it might not even still be there.

    Enjoy your evening anyway triky.smile

Good to see our back posting Malcolm.  I've been lurking as new CT hates my Kindle Fire and eats my words 🙄. Using my phone at present but not as comfortable.

Now I'm very easy going but for some reason on CT myself,  that's Bakers2 and brue - are being confused with each other. I'm quite amused and as I commented on an earlier post about this to ABM I'm hoping brue isn't offended. 😂😂😂

Guess now you've treated yourself to a new car and insurance you won't be considering working less hours in the new year. Happy Christmas and enjoy the few days off over Christmas.

Thanks Bakers2. Sorry to have got you mixed up with Brue! We're having a three week break after Christmas so not due back at work until 18th January. This will be the longest time off since we first started delivery work! I hope all is going well for you in the last few days run up to Christmas!
