Hi

I am considering getting a 2016 Vauxhall Insignia Estate 2.0 CDti Elite Nav Auto to tow a Baily Pageant Champagne. Can I have some feedback from any Vauxhall owners please.

Thanks

Hello Mark I changed my tow car in August to a Insignia Estate Elite Nav Auto 170bhp on a 65 plate and it is a change I wish I had done earlier it is brilliant. It returns around 34mpg towing and is very comfortable. I tow a bailey pursuit 430-4 and it tows it as good as my freelander two used to. With heated seats, electric seats.adaptive lighting, heated steering wheel, sat nav, parking sensors, leather seats, reversing camera etc it is very good value. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a new tow car.

I towed for 4 years with a deisel 2010 Insignia SRi and it was a great tow.

Our last van was 1450kg and it never had any problems even up around Scotland (Bunree & Ayr sites).

Only thing was we had to buy a full size to replace the small spare.

    BEWARE.

Make sure the towbar installer uses the manufacturers wiring kit which plugs into a multi-use panel in the side of the boot.

A colleague had his fitted by a Vauxhall dealer who put it out to an outside fitter. Said fitter just chocked into the existing lighting wiring. Result: the tail lights are on the tailgate with a second set on the body. The tailgate lights go out when the tailgate is opened - and so did his caravan lights!
