Eurotunnel Tickets & Tesco Clubcard....
If you are using Clubcard vouchers for Eurotunnel tickets don't ring the supplied 0844 number with Vodaphone you'll be stung with a 7p per minute charge PLUS a 55p per minute network transfer charge, £9.59 it cost me. Phoned Vodaphone & had a moan, they ain't budging, PAC code ordered.
No (audible) warnings given, don't know about the small print but i bet its there on either Tesco's or Eurotunnel's sites.
Anyone know of a good mobile deal let me know (no Vodaphone)
Happy Christmas.
Tim.

Well I use Talkmobile - and have been for 'two contracts'. They regularly ring (English speaker, Yorkshire accent) and talk about my contract and my useage, and if they have anything cheaper to propose they run it by me. I had a call on Thursday last week offering me a saving of £1 a month - and I don't pay much anyway! So I'm happy with mine, but the 'bundle' of calls, texts and data I use probably wouldn't suit heavy users.
Like the above post, before using any number starting with 08 I check with the Say No to 0800 numbers I always check on Say No to 0870 because I'm never sure which 08 numbers are free and which cost a fortune.

Last year I was able to use this 013... number. Yesterday it connected me to a very pleasant French lady who seemed surprised to receive my call and gave me another 032.... number, that was useless
in the end I used the 0844 number, and got on with my life

On the Say No to 0870, there is this tip for phoning Eurotunnel if you get an answerphone response - "Our lines must be all busy if you can hear this" on calling 01303 282061. Calling switchboard 01303 272222 then option 1 for bookings gets you into the queue
We've used the 01303 number recently without problems. I think it's just when there is a heavy volume of calls you get directed elsewhere.

I've used the alternative landline number for years now without a problem. Most recently a couple of weeks ago to book for next year. A very pleasant lady answered the phone very quickly (after the usual intro message). As said up thread, perhaps it depends on how busy the lines are when you call; I must only ring at quiet times!

We are with BT Mobile and must say an excellent service and for us quite reasonable at £10 a month for unlimited texts & BT wifi, 500 minutes and 2GB data.
Vodafone were the worst company I have ever experienced for customer service, trying to contact them is a nightmare, eventually complained to ombudsman and got compensation as they would not or could not refund the credit on my account when we left them.
