I don't think there is anything controversial about the news that the behaviour and song patterns of robins is affected by light pollution but for those interested in the report, there is a link to the BBC News item here

The whole thread seems very odd! I added a post yesterday, to this thread, with a link back to the BBC website, (and a mention that there was nothing controversial about Robins and light pollution) and now that has completely disappeared (except when I go back to it through My Profile) when I can see it just as I typed it!
And a few minutes before adding this bit, I also typed and saved in response to another post by Nelliethe hooker (and saw on screen) this:
It's even more strange, Nelliethehooker, because earlier I added a post which created a link to the BBC website about Robins and light pollution. If I go back via 'My profile' I get the original post, but once I try add to the thread only see only this new post! What on earth is going on!

ValDa I'll report your post and see what HO have to say. Wonder what I've done to upset them so!! Perhaps they didn't like my review of Southport site and they're doing this as punishment!!

Curiouser & curiouser!!
Perhaps some-one at HO can come up with an explanation, but I won't be holding my breath.

Different comments appearing on your computer than on mine ValDa. What is going on?

Think we'll just have to put down to one of the foibles of the system. and leave it at that. We certainly not going to hear anything from HO by the looks of it!
