The jump to last post facility wasn't working earlier but just worked for me now. I also couldn't get to the last post from the cover page (is that the right description?)Are there any instructions on how to load photos from an iPad anywhere?

Well my feed back is I don't like the new discussion site.
The huge pictures mean there are less conversations per page, so lots more scrolling to the bottom to go to the next page.
Please reduce the image sizes and allow more discussions/comments per page plus next page buttons at top and bottom of the page., would make the site easier to use.
Lastly it feels a lot slower than the old site but maybe that is teething troubles?

This is a classic example of someone in the IT department being given free reign to design a forum page from the ground up! Rather than using tried and tested forum software that would take 30min to setup they've tried to reinvent the wheel and the result is horrible........unusable IMHO!

Do not know what has happened now. The 'discussions' link button is not displaying correctly
When I started using my tablet a few hours ago it was fine. It now appears to have become a specialised hell for tablet users. If this is improvement I'm a Dutchman!!
MOST UNHAPPY.!!

Where has the search by Map gone, now i have no idea where the sites are without having to cross reference with Google maps.
Not impressed the prime function of the website has gone

I bet Specsavers are making a fortune out of CC Members who are having eye tests to get new glasses to see the pale type on the forums.
Can anyone actually see the box to tick at the side of 'Remember my details' when logging in - or is it just me who can't?

I don't know yet if the new site is an overall improvement but so far not impressed, particularly with this pale blue/grey print. It was better when there were more comments on each page - don't need bigger pics. I haven't tried to add photos but if that is easier it would be a real gain. It's early days so hopefully everyone's comments will be taken on board by the IT boffins.

I do wonder what advice was taken with regards to appropriate use of text size and colour when the CC developed the new website? Such as for people with visual disabilities or dyslexia. Rather than users having to download additional software/apps to increase the size of the text why couldn't the CC built in the facility to change text size contrast etc? Other websites have this facility. I wonder if the developers of the CC website read the Equality Act 2010.

Hi Milliehull,
I've spoken to the development team and they've notified me that the 'Follow this discussion' emails have been set to be sent out once a week.
We're changing this to daily, so you should see the emails in your inbox this week

Agree DD daily is neither use nor ornament. Not that I used them a lot as you tended to get inundated. A list of say the last 10 posts you had contributed to, in all this white space on the right hand side, would suit me better. It would need to provide a live link to the threads though, not just be a list.

I notice that on the tread list the word "new"and a number, which used to mean The number of new postings since I last looked at the thread. However it certainly doesn't relate to that, as I've not read many of the threads and most of them are not indicating that I've not read them. I can't remember all the postings I Iooked at but the old system allowed me to revert to the last item that I'd read whereas I can't do this now. Any suggestions how I can avoid searching through each posting every time without having to "follow" each item?

The CT Forum came up as one of the results for a search I performed on an external engine. The page wasn’t found but I was pleasantly surprised to find a new forum, freshly opened for Christmas!
First impressions are that it’s largely just a makeover (and over a year late) but maybe the real improvements are not obvious to a passing glance and I was never much good a Pelmanism anyway.
I’m disappointed to find that it is so difficult to read and I do not understand why text cannot be black on white, or a contrasting combination of colours where a distinction is required. I find the same with the Club Magazine, though, perhaps someone doesn’t want me?
There are some things that don’t seem to work too well (Quotes and size of Avtars) but I assume they’ll be put right, given a little more time. What bothers me is that the behavior seems to be inconsistent. Shame they were not discovered before release. We waited patiently yet it seems to have been rushed in the end.
I’m pleased to see that the star system has been dropped, I always felt that it was the driving force for unnecessary posts, diluting any constructive material. It is a shame that “likes” are still reported on the ‘activity list’, to clutter it up, and why was the useful list of ‘recent posts’ dropped? I do wonder what the priorities were for this face-lift. Let’s hope the result will be more stable than the previous one.
Most important is the need for it to attract more users and interesting content. Some of the ‘old names’ are still evident, but not as many as I recall. It’ll be interesting to see if the activity increases, or not, because we’re repeatedly being told how CT “just keeps growing”.
When the prospect of a new forum was first muted, a lot of helpful suggestions were provided. Sadly, it seems that many of these were ignored (or couldn’t be achieved). If the Search worked better, it might be possible to find them.
I believe the future of CT will depend on an easy to use facility providing a satisfying experience that encourages users to return. It will struggle without rewarding content or a critical mass of active users. Function should be more important than form.
I may stumble back to see if anything’s improved in the future. At the moment it still seems to be “much the same, only different”.

Good to see that you're still around rogher...
I for one have missed your informative posts, it will be good if you can be a regular again.....

Nice to see you, Rogher.
You can still see your own recent activity via your avatar or profile.

The quotes are working Rogher but we've been informed that you can't edit someone's quote to avoid defamatory comments eg taking a quote out of context. It's just one quote at a time too, sparing us the lengthy page consuming posts.

Just tried to view an old discussion in the overseas section - all that's left is the original post and none of the replies or comments. Other dicussions are the same. The original posts are standing there like tombstones in an empty grave yard!

This may well have been mentioned, however in the absence of any definitive list I will mention it again. None of the filters, that I have tried on search and book work. These include, peaceful, wifi and tent campers welcome.
- Selecting peaceful still included Gatwick, which seems a bit strange.🛫🛬
- Selecting wifi included Warwick race course, which does not have any ❌
- Selecting tent campers welcome included loads of sites that do not permit tents. ☹️️
I think it would probably be best if the filters were removed until they are functioning properly.
