    and another thing .....

the 'new post' tag on  a thread is doing its own thing. How can it show 'new post' when it was me that made the last post ..... I know there is, I made it!

Anyone know why we have a p in the bottom left hand corner of the reply box?

Just finding the discussion page from the log on page is the first of many frustrations.

PS. There is no such county as Dyfed, but CC has changed my address to it, I live in Pembrokeshire, at least you could get that basic right !!!!

For some reason the new forum wants to place me in a different area to which I come from. I keep changing this in the profile but it just reverts back to where it wishes me to 'come' from. One explanation I guess may be that it can't differentiate between where a person deems they come from, which is what it states under our post photos (see left) and a different post code address of convenience.

I'm still new to this but I'm finding conversations disjointed, because you only get the 1 previous comment on a quote you have to scroll back pages to find what had been commented on previously frown it doesn't seem to flow like before. Might be the CC's way of stopping conversations going off thread I suppose but I'm already finding it not as friendly.

Oh and not being able to see your last 5 or 6 topics that you have posted on, on the right hand side. Very time consuming clicking here and there to find your posts, oh and when you look at the first page of discussions it doesn't show you who was the last to comment on a thread, so you have to open each and every thread to see who it was just in case someone has replied to something you/others have posted. Or am I missing something undecided

TG. If you click on  "motorhomer from Perthshire" under your avatar you can see your latest posts. The latest posts on discussions show by time and date when you click on the discussion you want to read....it take a few days to get used to the set up. wink

Thanks, brue. We learn something new every day, don't we!wink

Must admit though that it doesn't help a great deal as it only list 4 items and all the post one has liked too. It take for ages and then once one is selected it only take you to the opening post and not one's last one.

    FYI Tammygirl

After typing in highlight your text then click on Bold or Italic & you will see word/s come up next to the P. If I remember correctly Rochelle's post mid December said something to do with HTML format.

Can I mention the actual new CC site hre?  Not thevdiscusion site but the new look main site?

I still find it dificult to find a site either using the map or by typing in a location.  And why do I have to give dates when I just want to browse.  The C&C Club site allows yu to simply type in a loctaion and then lists ALL sites, CLs, LIsted and Club sites on the map.  Much easier to use when you just want to plan where and not necessarilly when.

ALSO if a Clubs site has no toilet block faciities could this be made clearer at the outset?

The drop down menus at the top of the page are annoying, as the drop dowen as you pass the mouseover and obscure the page undereath.

All this is meabt to be constructive.  I like the look of the site it is just a but frustrating at times.

You don't have to use the filters or put in dates for sites, just tap the search button. I have to agree the C&CC site offers an easy straight forward search facility, but in the early days of their new web development the site searches and booking were so bad that it had to be closed down and re-jigged. I presume improvements will be ongoing with the CC?

I'm afraid that it's like a lot of web sites.......it's a play-thing of the IT department.

As is so often the way, they have produced a 'new' web site that looks a bit sleeker than the old one, but hasn't actually corrected any of the faults and, because it's new, takes time to get used to the new layout......for no advantage.

Still no spell checker (on iPad at least), still no PM facility, blank pages have been replaced by duplicate posts, many avatars don't display, the link buttons take numerous presses before they work, 'last post' information doesn't display correctly.......in what way is it improved?

And why am I even bothering to post this? All the CC staff have cleared off on holiday after foisting this upon us......

"Search by map" is shown in red letters on the search and book page. I don't know whether it's fully functional yet but it's easily found.

I have just logged in - first time for ages.  This new website is jumping around, loses itself, is not logical, is unstable, takes me to the wrong areas.  Trying to enter centres is appalling - it was so easy before.  Have I entered a parallel world ?    Why do organisations HAVE to change what is basically working.  My leisure time is too precious to be bothering with this nonsense.

Find this new site difficult to use.  To get information required I seem to have to take such roundabout route.  Not user friendly at all.
