Just managed to upload a photo but don't want to go in to edit as it may not stay there. It disappeared many times yesterday. It was a long process for me to reduce photo to very small.
Hopefully someone from HO will answer a plea from a previous poster (kennine on page 5) regarding uploading photos. The only thing I have seen has been size of photo.

I don't know what device you are using but on my pad I downloaded a resize app. This allows you to reduce the pixel density, and therefore file size, of the photo. The photo still stays a fairly large size, so if clicked on expands, but is not as sharp as before. I found 400 by 300 pixels allowed 5 photos, of the quality below to be uploaded.
edit should just say picture was originally taken on a 12 megapixel camera, so reduction was from that base.

Thank you SteveL for the reply. The Kelpies look good. (hope I spelled that right)
I use a Microsoft Laptop. Load photos from SD card into photogallery & resize there. I had managed to upload photos on the old site using copy & paste after resizing. I am begining to think the problem yesterday may have been the volume of posters possibly trying to do the same as me as I didn't have a problem this am.

Test. Not as sharp as it actually is in Photoshop. Can anyone give details of pixel dimensions and PPI (pixels per inch

To resize a photo on Windows 10. Go into Settings, then File Explorer then Pictures (if this is where you store your photos.)
Find the photos you need, mine are stored by month of input.
Click on the photo you want, it will highlight. Click on edit in the tool bar at the top of the page and then click on resize. At the moment I am resizing using pixels, click on the pixel box and reduce the top horizontal/width amount to 200, the vertical will reduce automatically. I expect you can adjust the sizing but I've started at this point.

This is 500 pixels on windows. Much better when I "left click" to view.

Look forward to learning about uploading photos Rochelle although I have managed to do it I am sure there must be a quicker way.
Am I right in assuming that the photos you used are the sample ones from Microsoft loaded machines. ?
Can you tell us if the the tutorial will be on this thread or will you start a New Discussion ?
Good Luck
