Saturday Afternoon Walk
This morning we left Bidart and moved 5.6 miles down the coast to Errormardie, just next to Saint Jean de Luz. We're right beside the sea and can hear the waves pounding on the beach. It's overcast but warm and the site is busy.
A 'Sentier de Littoral' (coastal path) runs past the site. It starts at Bidart and finishes at St Jean, a total of 25km. This afternoon we set off to town.
There are some spectacular views along the way.
Before we reached St Jean
And had a walk along the prom.
This is our last stop in France before we set off along the north coast of Spain.

Good to hear from you again, Brue, and hi there helenandtrevor. We're at Erromadrie and the coastal path goes all the way to Hendaye, to correct two errors! Our campsite is Caravanning de la Ferme and it's 14€ a night ACSI with free good wifi.

We tried walking from Bidart to Biarritz when we were staying there many years ago. Our mistake was trying to walk along the beach but we soon had to go inland as we were not prepared to get wet!!!
Lovely photos, and thank goodness for the proper use of the Story Section.

Hi Chas & Cath, in the summer we caught a bus to Hendaye and sat on the edge of the river having lunch whilst overlooking Spain. Both there and at St Jean de Luz I was very surprised at the vast number of Spanish we encountered who were walking along
the coastal path. It was just like watching them do the same along the shoreline but this time they were not in swimming costumes! Enjoy northern Spain; we set off in 2 weeks for the Costa Brava for some sun.Regards, Roy

Hi Roy,
We expect to be on the Costa Brava in about 3 to 4 weeks time - might see you there! Meantime, La Vuelta ( major cycle tour) is heading towards Galicia at the same time as we are! Hope to avoid campsites full up with cyclists cycling the stages ahead of
the race!!0 -
Hi Chas & Cath, we want to only go as far south as needs be to get dry, preferably warm, weather so as we set off on 14th we are heading for Sant Pere Pescador and will probably stay on camping Las Palmeras after a reccomendation from Deleted User User. If the
forecast is not good as we leave we shall go further south from the outset and probably enter Spain via the Atlantic border. We return on 13th November so hopefully we may catch up with you somewhere along the coast, it would be good to chat. Enjoy your travels.
Regards, Roy0
