Croatia , Bosnia , Montenegro , Serbia , Macedonia - 2013

Just joined CC today and would like to share our knowledge about caravaning in Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia. Touring there every summer and will be happy to help if someone needs a word of advise. We are based in Lake District (Cumbria) and leaving to Macedonia via Slovenia,Croatia,Montenegro and Serbia around 17th of July for 5 weeks , just in case someone would like to join.

    Hi Mike and Eva

    I will be extremely interested in your wonderful trip as next year we are planning a very similar journey, we are in Nottingham and have recently bought a motorhome, next year we are planning to go away for six months around Europe, our aim to go to Montenegro
    coming back through Bosnia.  Have a fab time!

    We're in Northampton and my wife and I are planning a trip from 21 May to 12 June.  After early ferry we plan to stay overnight at Campsite Eisenbachtal 56412 Girod/Ww., Germany.  Next day to Camping Nord-Sam, Samstraße 22A, 5023 Salzburg, Austria for a
    few days around Salzburg.

    Its the next bit of the trip I'm not quite sure about - to Croatia.  We've never been there before and would appreciate the benefit of your experience.  At present we’re thinking of going as far as the Rijeka/Lovran area.  What’s your experience of that
    area?  Do you know of any smallish sites in the area?  Is it worth considering going the extra miles further south?  Do you have any other tips about Croatia?

    Would love to hear about your adventures,we are planning to drive from England to Corfu via Serbia macadonia albania

     so all info very welcome we are a bit concerned about road conditions etc.kind regards Tim & MaxineMaxine

    Hello Mike and Eva,

    I am currently planning a three month trip to Croatia leaving in April this year. We plan to do a lot of hiking so would appreciate any suggestions you have for areas to visit.

    Also, on the practical side, can you buy gas bottles and what sort of regulators did you take?

    Did you buy additional insurance to drive in Bosnia. I have yet to decide whether or not to chance driving through the Neum stretch or to use the ferry between Ploce and Triban.

    Any other info you have would be very welcome.
