Benefits of Touring Europe.
In 2004 we decided to make our first tour of Europe and oh boy we visited 5 countries France, Italy, Austria, Germany and Belgium in that order, We had a wonderful holiday with no problems at all covering 6,550 miles in 62 days. We visited some wonderful places such as, The Adeche . Provence, Grimaud, Monaco, Monte Carlo, in France. Cinque Terre, Pisa, Sienna, Rome, Isle of Capri, Pompeii, Cortona, Assissi i Italy. The beautiful area of the Southern lakes of Austria stopping on the Ossiachersee,Vienna, Salzburg, Silent Night Chapel, where the famous Carol was written, In Germany we went back to some old haunts including Berchtesgaden, Rothenburg and the Romantishe Strasse, lastly visiting Ypres and attending the nightly service at the Menai Gate. Then it was back to Coquelles to the Tunnel.
Since that first year we have made 7 more trips laterly visiting just Germany, Austria and Holland with the caravan with daily visits into Luxembourg, Italy and Slovenia. Altogether we have visited 13 Countries in Europe. and what a wonderful way to see them with our caravan.. We have made new friends German, Dutch and Brit Caravanners. A very useful item that was given to us on at a site in Austria was our first ACSI Camping Card and Book. It was the year of the launch of the scheme with all of about 100 Caravan Sites. Now look at it over 2000 sites in the 2012 Book.
Anybody who reads this who has never been to Europe with the Caravan or Motorhome try it you will never regret going.. For more details of this Trip and our other 7 Trips to Europe go to www.joysofeuopeancaravanning.co.uk

Good for you DianneT, We too travell abroad for two months every year, We have been doing this for the last four years now, and intend to carry on as long as we can, It's great the culture the weather and the food, whats not to like.
We did about 4500 miles to Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy, loved every minuite of it, can't waite for May 6th, off for eight weeks again, back to Croatia, we loved it so much.
Only had one bad experence last year, when a guy tried overtakeing us in Austria, and ran into the side of our car, new one at that, damage not too bad and we could carry on, And it surtanly has not put us off.
So if you haven't travelled abroad yet, you don't know what your missing, the sites are great, exept Italy, the pitches can be a bit tight for a large outfit, they are big into there motorhomes.
