Just a couple of recommendations for anyone venturing over to Europe this summer.

Use ACSI discount cards which deal with out of season travel (not July/August) - no sites over basic Euro16 per night and this is a great saving on the normal tariff!  The discount card is within the cover of the site book which can be obtained on their website for about £12, but the savings for a holiday is well worth the expenditure.

Let me recommend just a few:

Valkenburg/Burg en Terblijt in Limburg SW Nederland.  Excellent site and it is within a drive from Dunkirk/Calais in about 4 hours.  Indoor swimming pool, spacious pitches and a free walnut collection if visiting September/October as the pitches are shaded with walnut groves in places.  English is the second language in Holland.

Geisenheim / Hessen in Germany - on the banks (literally) of the Rhine close to Rudesheim. Another ACSI site at Euro16  and the scenery is great.  Walking and cycling is just fantastic and the wine is superb!

Friburg/Hochdorf in the Black Forest (Shwartzwald) - on the Tunisee and is centred on an inland lake - lots of hardstandings and a super restaurant - also ACSI at Euro16 and the staff speak excellent English.  Only 6 miles (10kms) from Friburg and is a grat place to cycle or walk as the area is most flat.

Maybe we'll see you there as we are going to visit all these sites again this year!
