From what I saw it's not going the way of FB if it did I'd be out.

Each to their own, I use Facebook but then I have rigid privacy settings and only talk to those I am 'friends or family' with. Too many people have absolutely no idea what they are doing and open themselves to all kinds of rubbish/trivia and sometimes even
dangerous liaisons. There really is no need if you set up your account properly in the first place. I keep in touch and speak often with friends and family all over the world as well as my own family wherever they may be, so it is a very useful tool for me.Alison

The CC have stated at the AGM and on here that multi-media usage is part of their operation, FB and Twitter are already in use plus Club Together and the main web site. We've been told the forum will continue so you won't have to use FB. The mystery is all
in the new forum.....will we have a carriage or a pumpkin? (Seasonal theme there )0 -
I have removed the offending comments from this thread and reopened the discussion. Please could I ask that we all remember the Community Guidelines when posting. If anyone feels that something needs to be brought to my attention, please use the report button
or email community.manager@caravanclub.co.uk before retaliating.Thank you,

To add to this, I can confirm that we will not be merging CT into Facebook! Never fear...

Hi Kennine,
Whilst I cannot give you a firm date, I can tell you that the new website will be ready imminently, much sooner than you think!

Rochelle - well done on acting so swiftly to remove the offending comments and allowing the thread to re-open. So often in the past interesting threads have been closed, never to see the light of day again, because of one or two ill considered remarks.

Hi Peedee,
I work as part of the Social Media team, so you could say that Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and CT are run by the same group of people (myself and my colleagues).
We mentioned this when we launched Facebook, but the message still rings true: Facebook will not be a substitute for Club Together, it’s another channel that we can use to communicate with our members, and that our members can use to communicate with us.

I don't know what the 'offending' post said. I see that one of mine has been removed, but that only commented on someone else's that was out of order. If that offended anyone, I apologise.
However, thank you Rochelle for re-opening the thread. Too many threads get closed for consideration and are never seen again. So much better to remove the problem post, add an explanation and then move on.
I'm also glad to hear that the new forum is approaching and won't be merged with facebook.
