'Take the dog along's' avatar is popping up in the middle of random posts.  I've seen it on at least 3 threads in different categories.

Very strange, not on OH's notebook!

On page 255 of 'what you're up to today' the avatar appears 3 times!

Everything looks fine to me, Natasha. I suspect it's at your end. Try clearing your cache.

Have you updated to iOS 10 by any chance?

Oh dear, me causing havoc again! I don't think I have posted on that thread recently, so no idea what is going on. My apologies! Let me know if my bank details come up! I will report your OP,if that is ok, so that they can check things out at HQ. Happy

Nothing to worry about there. It is just what happens when someone goes over to the "dark side".

TDA, you're always causing havoc - do you have a degree in it?Laughing

I'll be surprised if clearing her cache doesn't fix Natasha's problem.

I was rather perplexed by this statement of what iOS 10 is capable off. Could it mean it will stop correcting what I type and putting in something completely different

My iPad is quite an old one BB, had it 3 to  4 years,  but it is giving me the option to install iOS 10 if I want to. However, I think I will give it a month or two as there are bound to be bugs. Unless of course they learnt from iOS 9.

I have an update pending to IOS 9.3.5.  Not keen on updating as things change and not always for the better

TDA seems to have calmed down today :)

    I wouldn't bet on it!Happy

SteveL, I do know that using emojis off the iPad rather than the inhouse one's on here can cause CT to malfunction! It is usually this that brings up the error screen, CT cannot cope!

What exactly does that mean in plain English?

I think it means it is unlikely to work. Whatever it is.

Natasha, 9.3.5 contained security bug fixes. I'd recommend doing it. I'm holding fire for a while on installing ios 10.

Did you try clearing your cache?

thanks Tinwheeler for the information about the update. The iPad reminds me every night to do so!!

Will get round to it soon. My iPad is pretty full and I think last time I updated I had to clear space.

Is clearing the cache same thing as clearing cookies?

9.3.5 was quite small. Around 35mb I think. It fixes the security issue that made the news a couple of weeks back

I clear history and website data so I guess it's the same. I do Settings / Safari / Clear history and website data. I also do the advanced as that sometimes shows up a load of website data.

They are obviously regarded as such. B in L managed to sell his old iPad 2 for £150 on eBay.
