ha brilliant ,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, spk, but did you know that use of Apple emojis often freezes the page and brings up the dreaded error screen? Good old CT, eh? Seems it only likes its own smileys.

With all this bonding & humour I'm welling up, don't worry about me, I just need a few minutes. . . .

I rest my case we now have 40 replies because someone made a Derogatory statement obout the other half and it has replaced the original thread

I have to confess that I only visit CT during rare moments of boredom and usually end up feeling rather embarrassed by much of the pointless comments and bickering. On this occasion I thought spk's immediate and humerous response to the OP was most amusing
and a very welcome change from the serious offerings from some of the regular posters. As I've mentioned, I'm not a regular fan of this sort of thing, mostly because I can't help noticing that so many of the threads attract predictable comments from the same small group of posters who have an opinion about almost everything, and object to
anyone else who doesn't share their view and behave like they do.0 -
must be missing something what did kennine say that was so bad
I love off topic posts
Write your comments here... It was posted to prove that there are some who do not like any kind of humour. Even when accompanied by the proper CC smilies.
Case proven !!

nothing derogatory was written. I was merely proving that your request was just not possible due to human nature. The way the thread has gone kind of proves my point. Imo

Hi everyone,
I've removed the posts about derogatory labels from this thread. If anyone has concerns about "groups" of posters causing upset on Club Together, please contact me at community.manager@caravanclub.co.uk
Thank you,

can I just say that I have never known such an over moderated forum. Posts disappear for no real reason Imo (probably this one very soon) were all adults and I don't think anyone is THAT concerned by what anyone may write. Freedom of speech and all that.
just saying

Freedom of speech on CT is governed by the T&Cs, spk.

We could solve a number of problems at once, including going off topic, if we did away with threads altogether and everyting got posted in just one sinle thread. It surely could not be harder to follow than the present situation? [insert appropriate smiley
of your choice]0 -
That reminds me of CT in the early days. It was a mess.

Write your comments here...I suppose if other members are respectful of the original poster , actions wouldn't have to be taken ...... would they

spk - the points you have made above are all covered in the Community Guidelines which you read and agreed to in order to use the CT Forum.
In particular, you will no doubt recall that if you have a problem with Forum moderation, you are asked to contact the Community Manager direct to discuss.

I will do that then because I do feel that the site is over moderated and that forum members are sometimes made to feel like naughty schoolchildren if they so much as dare to cross over into any type of none mainstream humour or general friendly humorous banter.

Hey, spk, it's not real life. Relax and enjoy.

I do enjoy the forum tinwheeler I find the members very informative and I enjoy the banter. But it seems to me that on many occasions threads are not allowed to take there natural course and people are not given the opportunity to respond or indeed retract
statements (as I recently did you will recall) before the post is pulled. This I do not agree with. We are all adults and are able to sort things ourselves without over zealous moderation.0 -
I'm afraid CT doesn't work that way, spk. If you were on here in the bad old days before the T&Cs were tightened and moderation to the current level became necessary, you would understand and thank the Champions for what they do.
To say it used to be vitriolic is an understatement. It was the behaviour of some posters that has brought us to where we are today and, regrettably, your last sentence is way off beam.

Spk, I understand where you are coming from, most of us have had posts erased or closed at some point. I have come to realise though that it is nothing personal, the Mods have a job to do enforcing the CT rules and until the rules change that will always
be the case.Best just to go with the flow, as Tinny posted.
