Why are some posts moved to "parts" -
Am I the only one that get irritated at the number of posts that appear to sit happily in this section being moved. Whilst others that would seem to fall in the same category are left?
A post on awning poles has recently been moved. Not part of the caravan, it goes in "parts and accessories" you might say, but posts on Wheel locks, alko jacks, caravan covers, and many others have stayed. What is the logic please?

DT, if a section is called say-tow cars, some folk post questions about the best caravan security. So the champs/mods move the post into-caravan security section. it saves confusion, no biggy really. If folk read the section header it would save confusion

All this moving of posts can only be relevant to people who do not read everything anyway.

TonyCSolihull - the fact that you've posted your thread in the Caravan Section highlights exactly why posts have to be moved as your post is nothing to do with 'Caravans' and so it's been moved into the Help and Feedback Section.
It is sometimes difficult to determine the best section for a particular thread but we do our best to ensure that threads are in the most appropriate section.
I can appreciate that a newcomer to the forum will perhaps need time and guidance in where to post but we do appear to have posters who simply prefer to post everything and anything in General Chat which would lead to total disorganisation if action were not taken to move topics.
As explained many times, if you have a problem with a decision made by a champion then please take it directly to the Community Manager.
Many Thanks.

Moving my post is an example of what I meant. It was in Caravans as it was talking about posts moving from that section, and the context, the other posts it referenced were all in that section. Moving it took the post out of context and means anyone reading
has to go back and forth between two sections to cross reference,Other than explaining why posts are moved there was no answer as to why posts that sat perfectly well in "Caravans" were moved whlst others, of a very similar nature were not. Personally I think the poster should have more choice of where to post in these
situations.regards

Any post offering feedback on the forum belongs in this section as this is where site admin are more inclined to pick it up. Whilst it might seem logical to post were you feel the problem exists it's likely
to be overlooked which I am sure is not what you want. I can't really add much to what Jill has already said except to say its generally easy to identify a post in the wrong place but moving it to a better place is not always an exact science as there is sometimes
more than one choice.David
