I am just wondering if there has been any news, Club feedback regarding the introduction of the new Website?

I seem to recall a post indicating that it was hoped that it would be in place by the end of the first Quarter of 2016, and wondered if I had missed something somewhere?

I don't visit as often as I used to, and don't read as many of the threads anymore, so I could have missed an update?

    Sadly no update as of yet tda but I'll bring your thread to the attention of staff and, hopefully, we might get some sort of response although, as it's now gone 5.30 pm on Friday night, I don't expect any reply over the weekend.

    Thanks Jill, I forgot it was Friday! Just be good to get some feedback on where things are at moment. Hoping the search engine for CLs will be a tad better organised!Happy

    I did note earlier today that Hazel said something about a "new site" was coming in May? I cannot remember which thread it was ,it might have been about ferry offers

    It was mentioned in the Overseas Section, Portsmouth/Caen thread....New web site in May...does that mean for bookings or is this the new web site proper?

    At long last .

    I meant to post this earlier as it was announced in reply to a post I was involved with on the Portsmouth - Caen ferry post. It came from Hazel in the Travel Service dept. Unfortunately things got in the way until now.

    I thinks many members have complained about the web site for a long time now and as the club keeps saying they welcome our input then we shall see how much of our input they have taken notice of.

    Maybe we should remind them of some of those things mentioned.

    Presumably the forum is included in this discussion......or do we continue to suffer the worst on the internet?

    Quite funny really because as soon as any forum is updated there are hundreds of complaints because it's changed!!!

    Helen (staff) posted in answer to a question on the why do I need a mobile phone to join the CC thread.

    But you are also quite right in noting you do not have to provide a mobile phone number. Our online joining system, as well as the whole website is being updated

    Perhaps not long to wait until we get a new site, hopefully with an error free CT.

    Thanks for that Steve, similar messages were received this time last year as well! Some informed, behind the scenes, this is where we are, this is what/when you can expect would be useful. To be honest, I don't really care if the expected timescale isn't
    going to plan, just think any informed rather than vague progress would be a vast improvement in terms of communicating with members.
