Sticky mix up.

It seems that more normal posts are getting mixed up with the multitude of stickies.

It may be that they are 'Stickies' but not marked as such??

PS. On some forums, without 'Stickies', one or two old posts are actually at the top.

    Well don't!.WinkingHappy...however
the CC site consists of not one but a number of forums....each heading ie 'Help and Feedback' and 'Certified Locations' are generally considered as separate forums....but point taken.Happy

I have just looked through all the duscussion groupings and found only one thread not marked as a sticky ahead of other sticky threads. Even when I went back to look at that post in the Solo section by then it had been made sticky. Are you able to give anymore
examples so they can be investigated?

Because I'm a 'saddo' I went through the Forum sections and nothing was out of place that I could see. Now I must find something more interesting to do

Thanks David, when I posted there were 4 mix ups. Yesterday one still remained on this particular forum (Help and Feedback) but I assume they have all been sorted.

I don't normally check of course but I do occasionally notice these things....I'll leave the checking to DaveHappy

    This is getting quite complicated.

I suffer from the red 'new Posts' marker which tends to include all the threads and sometimes all the posts in a thread.....it usually only includes one or two stickies and the red 'New' replaces the word 'Sticky'

It's also complicated by whether I am logged in or out

I will gracefully bow out and dream that one day the site will.....change????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

The thread entitled Motorway Service Reports is marked as a 'sticky' so it's right that it's at the top and yes, you need to be logged in to see the up to date state of each section/thread.

I can't seem to find this problem.  Which browser you are using EJB?  I wonder if it makes a difference?

Yes Jill it was marked as a sticky a few minutes later....but it wasn't when it was marked as 'New'......honest!

I've always used IE....currently 11 and all my PCs are up to date in Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.

I've always put the problems down to the website and don't think i'll change my mind soon.....not complaining just trying very hard not to comment on the whole set up which does a really good job for most of the members!

EJB, just an idea but when someone posts on a sticky (some are open for posting) this will come up as "New."

Yes Brue...I'm sure you are right....in fact I had just done an image showing another 'New' instead of 'Sticky' when I realised that it's too much trouble to post images here...so I won't!
