No input from H/Office
Just an observation :-
There is an underlying subject on a number of current threads which appears to be of concern to many members of this forum.
The subject of price rises both on site-night charges and annual membership prices.
During those discussions there has been absolutely no input from Grinstead to the concerns raised by those members.
In my opinion, much of the uncertainty and frustration shown on those threads could have easily been alleviated if Head Office had posted a clear explanation on this forum as to why those increases were necessary.
It's down to 2 way communication. It only would take a few minutes.

K I very much agree with you,a lot of the posts that appear on threads would be not there if only there was more input from Grimstead,
Sounds like you have to push for more ,Rowena its over to you to bring this important point to your colleages in the deparments concerned and get them to get their heads out of the sand,as it will only get more frustrating for us members

Totally agree HO should get more invoved with the forum. After all if we were told something was impossible for various reasons it could stop a lot of uneccessay debate. Or on the positive, we might achieve something, because as members we made a suggestion
that the CC later adopted.0 -
I can understand why they would not wish to get involved in some of the debates but I do think they could do better and pick up on significant issues and at least highlight and comment on them in the magazine. Like I said somewhere else it could make for
a more interesting magazine to read.peedee

I would just like to assure you I am currently in communications with colleagues regarding various discussions. I apologise for the delay. A lot of staff had saved holiday to be with their family over Christmas but now we are into the New Year I will make
sure we respond to various discussions with feedback from The Club.0 -
Thank you Rowena. The main concern is the price the website is showing for pitches at Beechwood Grange, during its extended opening period. I have emailed you about this, but don't expect a reply if details are posed in the thread for all to see. Happy New
Year!0 -
Hi takethedogalong, thanks for alerting me of this. I checked this morning and the prices for Beechwood Grange are incorrect for this time of year. We are looking to get this fixed ASAP. I will also post the update in the discussion and apologise I have
not responded sooner. I have been so busy this week that I hadn't spotted this discussion. I really appreciate you flagging this to me via email so I could alert and raise a request for this to be fixed this morning.0 -

I’d like to think that CT is being monitored, K, and there is evidence of that above. However, the notion that it might not take much time is misguided. Typically there are over 20 new discussions started each day and over 500 comments added. There are also
reviews and stories to be monitored. Without the availability of some very clever software to assist the procedure (and you will have your own idea of the chance of that) I’d expect it to consume some considerable time.0 -

The best way to grab the attention of any HQ is vote with your feet. Thats what I do. CC sites are way to expensive for me. After all, I paid thousands on a van with all facillities, so why would I want to share a shower and toilet with strangers, then pay extra for the privalege? Doesnt add up to me.

The moderators or whatever they call themselves obviuosly follow the threads very carefully, maybe they could highlight or send email to head office asking for comment ????
The moderators do frequently flag discussions to me and we do often reply. However, recently there has been a lot of leave due to Christmas but hope to have some more repsonses ASAP.

Thank you Rowena. In fairness I dont think I was the first to spot the mistake, but instead of coming on here and making a fuss about it, thought it best to email you!

Think it would be a good idea if the club ( board of directors ) were to announce at the AGM their intentions / reasons for the following years price increases ( a form of manifesto ).

In my humble opinion there should not be an expectation that CT could be a channel to drive comment to HQ - as I do not believe this is one of the primary objectives of CT.
Any ad-hoc interaction with HQ should be comsidered as a bonus and not the norm'
Just my 2 cents....
