We've just taken our first bookings for New Year! - as a CL Owner it is reassuring that some people are planning and booking so far in advance.

These particular guests have stayed with us in the past, but 8 months is probably the longest notice-period that we have ever had for a booking.

We have not had Christmas visitors for a few years, new year yes. But we have 2 vans booked for next Easter, and I know we will shortly have the late may bank holiday booked for next year. If only my life was planned that fare ahead !!

We are members of both clubs, and mostly use CL's or CS's rather than club sites.  We booked a CS for Christmas (in March) and were lucky enough to get the last pitch!

The owner said that he is always full for Christmas and New Year.  The reason, I suspect, is that the site is only half a mile from a main road (yet there is no traffic noise) and he has large, fully serviced hardstanding pitches.  Also a fab dog walk, and
    showers/toilets.

We tend to use our own facilities, but the ease of access to the site, hardstandings, and dog walk are what has attracted us during the winter months.
