Well, I though I would break my duck and post on here.

My OH and I have now been caravanning on and off for over 25 years.  Had a bit of a break when the kids wanted planes, hotels, swimming pools, beds, etc.

Now that they have flown the nest and there is just the two of us to think about, for the last 5 years or so we have been out and about in the caravan more and more.

We live in Kent and go out almost every other weekend in Caraven.  This year we will hit about 65 nights away both in the UK and in Europe...probably not as much as we would like.

Next year I will be entering semi retirement mode so we expect even more nights away.

If you see a "young" Indian gentleman with a Honda CRV tow car and a Bailey Vigo caravan, say "Hi".  If I like you, I'll speak to you :-)

Take care all and enjoy some fantastic winter caravanning!

Sudesh

Wouldnt be too sure about that.  Have had some clangers in the past such as not putting the handbrake on when retracting the motormover!  Gave the neighbouring caravan owners a fight as the van started rolling towards theirs!  And that was only last year!!

Good to hear from you Wildwood from up north :-)

Welcome aboard the mad ship CT, Skar. This lot have probably forgotten what they've forgotten but then again it's nice to know that I'm not alone in that.

Good luck when you get to the retirement lark. It's great fun, honestly.

Good to hear from Yorkshire, Flintshire and Cornwall.  May we meet one day in the middle somewhere!

    Hi Trikey

Good to hear from you.  Unfortunately it's Sittingbourne...not by choice but by nessesity. Still, it's easy enough to get to most places from where we are and we do have a lot of weekends within an hours drive away.  What about you? With a Motorhome I suspect
    you go farther afield.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I am sure there is lots of interesting stuff on here.

Just at Eastbourne for a long weekend. Lovely weather for October, not cloud in the sky this morning .
