    It tasted like lemonade. We used to lick liquorice sticks and stick those in the sherbet, the paper bag used to get black and sticky before it fell to pieces.

    I got my first car - an Austin Maxi (bought off the in laws) and engaging first gear could only be achieved by engaging second gear first - wonderful synchromesh! But it was 1750 cc and had 5 gears and could tow a caravan.

    First car I ever bought at auction. Wasn't overly enamoured of it and sold it after six months.
