Brian Rix, actor and campaigner has passed away aged 92.  Used to love his farces on the box in the 1960s

    Sad news , seemed to remember he did a great deal of work for Mencap ......

    His daughter had Downs Syndrome and he devoted the rest of his life to helping and working for people with learning difficulties.

    No big fan of his genre of acting, but I have to admire his work later in life......

    Brian rix was someone who fought for a better way of supporting people with a learning disability. Prior to this they were shut away in institutions as was suggested in relation to his daughter who had down syndrome. 

    Rip Brian you made a difference!

    sorry to hear about brian . did you know he was a beven boy worked at Askern  in south yorkshire
