A David v Goliath match with England expected to win easily.  Lets hope its a good and exciting 90 minutes where both teams give their best performance.

You never know, Scotland just might do a David and overcome the England Goliath.

Cheers ......K

K, if you were talking Rugby I'd agree with the analogy more than with the Football. I don't think the National team of England re Football is Goliath to many other National teams.

A totally irrelevant local derby as far as I am concerned. However I wish both teams well. Wales to beat Serbia Saturday evening.

If England are "Goliath" what does that make Iceland?

There was a time when i was a keen watcher of our international games but i,m afraid i just dont have the appetite for them anymore. We have been let down so badly over the last few years in the big tournaments by laclustre performances and sadly i think
nowadays many people see international matches as an unwanted interuption to the premier league.

I’m another that hasn’t watched an international match for quite some time. England never seem to have any appetite to try to win a match, they just sit back and pass the ball about when in possession

I'm planning to watch it, but don't expect it to be a thrilling game. Neither team have any true world class players anymore, and, as Whittaker says, England play really boring football. Expect a bottle, or 2, of wine will be needed! Any excuse......

Listening to the game it sounds as if I did right by not bothering to watch the match. Comfortable win for England in the end, I guess. Is that the end for the Scotland manager? However I will be watching all the rugby games tomorrow, even if it's only the highlights of the England game.

3 nil and more points, not bother how well they played just want them to qualify and if they win the table so much the better.  Press of course won't give any credit to EnglandYell

I watched the game, not thrill a minute stuff, but not that bad either. Sounded as though there was a good atmosphere in the stadium, too.

But why did Scotland play in that awful pink strip? What happened to the beautiful blue? Very strange!

Comfortable  Score Line  for  England  but  if  they  play  like  that  against  the  Big  Boys  they  will  get  hammered  !!  So  many  simple,  silly  mistakes  that  they  managed  to  avoid  being  punished  for.  Play  like  that  against  Spain,
Germany,  and  it  will  be  double  figures  before  half  time!

As  far  as  the  managers  are  concerned  Southgate  has  done  his  future  no  harm  --  at  least  he  seemed  to  have  his  heart  in  it !

Further  I  can  see  no  point  whatsoever  in  Scotland  sacking  their  present  incumbent  --  they  have  no  magician  to  suddenly  arrive  with  two  teams  of  high  class  players  from  nowhere.

Good  job  I  could  not  get  on  here  last  night,  I  might  have  been  a  little  sarcastic  about  the  whole  affair !!

Didn't watch the game, otherwise occupied on more constructive use of my time! Did the teams wear the armbands with poppies on?

England played poor the first half, but must have had a telling off half time because they improved second half.  IMO.

Thanks. One good thing to come out of the game then, standing up to the FIFA bullies.

Just goes to show how stupid those at the top of FIFA are. Perhaps they've got a contract to sell those pink shirts!!
