Been an amazing Games for us, lots of medals spread via lots of different sports. Some outstanding and inspiring performances, and plenty more still to come. Have enjoyed watching lots of different sports, rarely broadcast on TV, such as shooting, trampolining,
dressage etc... as well as the more mainstream sports. Bring it on.......0 -
Spending more hours than I planned on the Olympics, my watchable sports include Rowing, Swimming, Archery, Shooting, Athletics and my favourite the Velodrome events. The contestants really have done us proud and the BBC should have a pat on the back for their coverage, but are there any presenters left in the UK, did they hire the Queen Mary to ship them out.

Does anyone know why Golf, Tennis etc are considered olympic sports when they are obviously professional sports?
Not having a dig, just thought the Olympics were for amateur sports.
I think you will find that the majority of UK competitors are professional. Lots are funded through the Lottery and apart from sponsorship don’t have other major sources of income.

Indeed, they always used to be Amateur with a Capital A, Fysherman. But I reckon with the ever growing coverage by T.V. & the money that has introduced, it could never have stayed amateur & reasonably 'clean'. Better
to go Pro & control it as best we can !0 -
Critical or not F, its your opinion & you are entitled to it
I'm STILL watching, while going thro' the lists for me forth coming hols and just saw a most delightful, excited young lady get a bronze for "Hammer Throw" == the very first major championship medal our ladies have ever won in that discipline. Talk about emotional !! Big Smiles, Floods of Tears Just hope somebody has a full, clear video of it for her !

Just sitting here watching Dressage on BBC 1
Should be getting van set up for Dorset, but utterly mesmerised by the superb control these riders have over 1/2 ton of horse flesh ! So little movement from the rider, I'm beginning to think riders & horses are all
robots !0 -
Just watched the dressage, brilliant, well done Charlotte!

It's been good, the lottery funding has really produced results, keep toning those finger muscles on the scratch cards everyone!
To be serious it's all been impressive. I haven't spent time watching a lot but I was willing the rowing teams on!

I watched some of the cycling too last night, not normally something I enjoy, but was hooked last night.

H&T, we got so hooked, we went to Manchester velodrome last New Year to a competition, all stars embarking on their Olympic year! Fantastic night out, thrills and spills galore, youngsters in with the superstars. Hope to do it again soon, but off to Dartmoor
to watch Tour of Britain next month! Marvellous, and free as well!0 -
Watched the cycling, pity about the Cavendish collision but the winner made a good recovery and MC got silver.
Are you sure there was a collision, Brue ??
! didn't see hordes of Medics, Physios Stretcher Bearers running round touting for trade,
or does that only occur when a footy player trips over daisy roots ??0 -
There was a collision, rider carried off on a stretcher, routine stuff for track racing though!

Just been watching the individual floor gymnastics, well done to Amy Tinkler winning a bronze medal.

And Niall Wilson is in second place at the moment on the high bar. And Becky James has just won her first heat in the sprint semi final.
