A quite brutal match by the sounds of it. Just before halftime they held out for nearly 4 mins from a sustained attack with the Aussies perched close to the English line....what a defence!! Robshaw was Man of the Match, and fully deserved too by the sounds
    of it.

Well done England. Your Rugby Supporters and players do you great credit. Sheer sportsmanship  Intelligence, decency.

Pity your Football supporters do not live up the the same standard of decency and intelligence

My sons over in Marseilles, a local snatched ten euro note out his pocket, my son felt it and grabbed it back, took in the Hungary game later and had his mobile lifted, pity SOME foreigners cant behave like our decent supporters.

He's at the Albania game in Lyon today then on to St Etienne for the England game.

I dont usually get criticized for Praising and Complimenting England and their excellent Rugby team and supporters.

That there is a  distinction between England Rugby Supporters and England football supporters is not in my or anybody else's imagination. .

Only people who dont ever see the news or read reports in the media would deny that there is supporter violence and vandalism issues when the England football team plays in international tournaments such as Euro 2016.

    K,

I don’t think you are being criticised for Praising and Complimenting England and their excellent Rugby team and supporters, nor do I think that many will deny that there is supporter violence and vandalism issues when the England football team plays in international tournaments such as Euro 2016.

I do think that most posts simply allude to your unbridled pleasure, in taking every opportunity in pointing out that which you perceive as,  English Shortcomings.

Scotland's international record  is often criticised on this forum. ---And quite rightly so.--- Both on the international Rugby and the Soccer  competitions

Do I take the huff - NO !!!-----because it is just good sporting banter between friendly nations.

And yes, I have to admit that on the International events , Scotland is not so good at Rugby and absolutely rubbish at Soccer.

So I always give credit where it's due. Hence my admiration and  praise for the England Rugby squad and their supporters.

    However :-

England's international football reputation, in events like Euro 2016,  has unfortunately suffered badly due to the  atrocious behavior of some of their fans. That was the point I was making.

Why should this be ???   Same country. !!!

Think the answer to your question K is same sport, not same country, given that we're now hearing that the behaviour of fans of Austria, Hungary and Portugal have also caused their federations to be charged by UEFA. Sad

Anyway, back on track, it's was a great performance by the England Rugby team, a magnificent turn around after recent disappointments!

(And good news for another Brit ( Wink ) as Andy Murray seems to be hitting form at just the right time!)

Great result, and stilla lot more to come says EJ & his captain. This was the 22 consecutive winning game that Maro Itoje has played in where he has started the game. Now that's some record.
