So England lost again to one of the Minnow’s in the competition, it happens Sad!!

What I don’t understand is, all of the criticism they and their Manager have come in for because of their performance.Undecided

After all they dominated the Centre Circle for almost the whole 90mins, launching attack after attack upon the Halfway Line. Embarassed Embarassed

Wishing Wales every success - I absolutely love the Welsh National Anthem sung by a Male Voice Choir, the best anthem ever !!  BUT I have just heard a lovely acoustic version sung by a young lady called  Kizzy Crawford. She will sing it tonight !!

Come on Wales you can do it !!

They played with passion, determination and belief, not like those overpaid under achievers called the England team. Well done Wales you were magnificent and here's hoping you can go all the way.

It was a superb performance made all the better by the fact that they went behind so early and looked like they might be overrun by a very, very good Belgium team in the first 20 minutes.

Let's not curse them with over- expectation, though, but they have no reason to fear a very ordinary Portugal side in the semifinal. Happy

Unfortunately they didn't really play that well last night, and that the reason why they lost!

Seemed to be a lot of celebrating, for a team that lost (and apparantly, played badly).

Is that how it works in footballing? Undecided

If so, surely the England footballers must be heros?

Surely they are allowed to celebrate, having achieved so much more than was expected of them, and have perhaps inspired many more welsh kids to get interested in sport.!!

Ian is see your team in your sweep stake lost in the other semi final, bit of a shock really as Germany are the current world champions.

Skill wise and possession wise Germany seemed the better side. Tactically France played better, particularly in defence. As they say, there is more than one way to win a game! Well done France.

Yes, same as the olympics was supposed to do. It lasts about 5 minutes, until something else falls into their gaze.....

I think there are prizes down to third place.......did they come third? Undecided

In the world cup the losing semi finalists normall play off for third + 4th place, not heard anything about eurochamps though so not sure

I hope everyone enjoys the experience. The team did well and the fans were very supportive. Loved the team applauding and acknowledging the fans at the end if the game.  Hopefully this is only the beginning of their success. They certainly seemed very proud
to be playing for their country.

Only winners and runners-up, so you could say Germany and Wales are both joint third. A far bigger result for Wales than Germany.

Wow! Just watched BBC Wales' coverage of the welcome home to Cardiff for the team, fantastic. Just what would have been the response if we had won the competition. Diolch boys.

It seems that about 30,000 people had nothing better to do than traipse over to Cardiff stadium to cheer the welsh footballers.......can't be much to do in Wales?

Remind me again......didn't they lose......by playing badly?

Does this say a lot about the intelelect of football fans?

I read somewhere there were also 200,000 along the roads and more at the airport. But then they did exceed all expectations unlike our motley crew who definitely lived down to our expectations.

No but it does say a lot about national pride and togetherness, something sadly that seems to be missing the other side of Offa's dyke.

Sorry Nellie.....I must have mis-understood those posters who said that they played poorly and were knocked out by a better team.

I wouldn't know, because I didn't watch it. I once saw someone kick a football and I didn't find it particularly interesting.

So, because the fans don't throw chairs at each other, they are a credit to their country?
