Looking forward to the new Star Wars film.  Think we'll go and see it in IMAX, should be awesome.  Hope it is more true to the original 3, the last 2 had something lacking imo.

My Son in law is a member of a Galactic Stormtrooper regiment or some such. Dresses up for charity events and stuff. He has enough Star Wars enthusiasm for both of us so I don't have to.

Will have to tell my son in law about this.  He is a complete Star Wars nut.

Write your comments here...Or watch paint dry.  -- The characters are so unbelievable that the series might of been written by somebody so high on drugs that they were hallucinating.    Who can possibly think that Yoda, Jabba and Jar Jar came from someone in full control of his/her mind.

Those films are produced purely to enable merchandising with scant concern for entertainment IMO

I can never understand why people feel the need to post such negative comments about things others clearly enjoy very much.

If you don't like Star Wars "Jog On" as they say these days - no need to share your negativity on something you clearly don't appreciate?

    Cheers

I think you miss the point K, it's escapism, folk with an imagination just get carried away in the joy of the pure visual experience. Logic don't come into it, it's an opening of the mind & letting fantasy come in. It's not for the straight backed square
bear types, more for the active imagination fun types. Tis lifeHappy

How can anyone have an alternative view when they admit openly they have never seen any of the films!

That was my point. Why post negativity without having any knowledge of the subject under discussion?

My youngest is in the games industry, he's a special effects artist. Star Wars has always been his favourite movies, as soon as it was announced when it was going to be released he booked his ticketSmile He's
also a Lego freak, his almost 8 years old son is the same, books, magazines, games, Star War lego, you name it they want it. My son was totally devistated when he found out that I'd given his Star War figures to a little boy in the village 21 years ago. He
often reminds me of how much the original figures would fetch nowFrown he also had a Star Wars duvet cover, which I now use when decorating to
    cover furniture.

Seems I will have to wait to see it.  My local IMAX cinema is fully booked.  Should have prebooked it like my son in law did.  Gutted.
