Years ago we had something called 'lexicon'. played like rummy, making words, try to get rid of all your cards first. Good for spelling practice!

Check out Sequence, its a type of card game using a board to make lines.(sounds boring but really isnt) It can be played by 2,3 or 4 players and is great. A typical game lasts about 30 mins. we play it with friends all night it is addictive. It can be bought
    on Amazon.

We usually keep a pack of cards in the 'van, but can't remember the last time we used them.

Years and years ago (in our trailer tent days) we bought a game called Pass the Pigs.  Unfortunately the game was stolen with our van back in 2009.  When we got the new van, one of the first things we bought was a 'Pass the Pigs' game.  It a sort of family
    tradition.  Good fun!

Write your comments here...used to love pass the pigs. There are some great terms for the different positions the pigs finish up in. "Making Bacon" was always worth a chuckle.

Me and the wife play Spot the idiot. Trouble is that she wins every time.

We discoverd a traditional pub game called 'shut the box last holiday, it consists of two dice and a wooden box with folding numbers, that you have to 'get' by rolling the dice, it's very light and small for leaving in the van and is strangely addicitive
    considering it's so simple.

We keep a few games in the van. Cribbage, Backgammon, a variation of Rummykub etc. Being Terry Pratchett fans, we also play Thud.

I've got Lexicon,  took it on last trip, beat  OH 3 game in a row and now he won't play me  and he won't play me at chess for same reason - just got scrabble so he's planning on getting revenge
