Probably - we are very quiet, say hello and ''nice weather'' or whatever but that is all. Socialisation is not my thing..

isn't weired when your ordering a brand new van, why don't they give you the choice of NO shower but cupboard or wardrobe instead.
we have been lucky enough to have had 2 brand new motorhome's but they won't give the option, we to use onsite showers so given the choice it would be no shower but slightly larger toilet & washbasin room with extra storage

I wish they came with a 'no cooker' option - we have never used ours and a cupboard would be so much lighter and more useful.

We use everything in the caravan. Apart from the fact that we find it so much easier to roll out of bed and into the shower, without bothering to put any clothes on, and then have a nice dry room to dress in, there's no rush, no pressure. And living in a
large rambling house with rooms up and down stairs and round corners, I like the way that in the "mini-house" (though not too mini!), everyrhing is near together. I can cook, sit and relax, go ro the bathroom and even sleep all in the space of one medium sized
room.P.S. The one thing we don't use is the microwave as we don't have one at home. Maybe I should store the bread in it.

I will use site shower facilities overseas when it's hot and you can just womble up in shorts and crocs (men can Anyway).
Getting undressed and then hopping about on one foot in someone else's second hand shower water or getting your clothes wet despite using a plastic bag because whoever designed them had never used them is not my idea of

We're a bit hybrid in that we use all the caravan facilites but use site ones too if the fancy takes us. Certainly if friends visit and we bbq we wouldn't dream of trying to wash up in the van. Far easier to take everything over to the dish washing facilities.
We really only wash up in the van if its the two of us.We also love to bbq. Two weeks away this summer and even did breakfast on the Cadac as well as either lunch or dinner most nights. Can't beat that bbq smell in an evening with a beer or glass of wine.

We had a microwave in our previous van and I used it to store the vegetables Goldie.

We have a smallish van with an all-in-one shower cubicle with toilet, wash hand basin and shower. I have once used the shower in there and it was a bit of a logistical problem so we always prefer to use the on site facilities. And yes I go across in my
dressing gown as I find it much easier and quicker. As for the washing up - breakfast and lunch plates, mugs etc are usually washed up in the van but if we are near the washing up facility and it isn't raining or too cold we tend to go across to the washing
up facilitity on site as we have pots, pans etc. As others have said - each to their own.0 -
nice and sunny, decent site facilities, stroll to block...however, NOT in a onesie, dessing gown, nightshirt
...none of which would be present
anyway in the van....weather not so warm/dry, it matters not how wonderful the 'block' is (wardens, blocks.....sounds like Porridge....) we will shower in the van....
our clothes, oddly, go in the wardrobes, not the shower...makes showering so much easier and clothes seem easier to find, and they're drier, too
our bread goes in a over kitchen cupboard, not an oven which (again strangely) gets used for cooking.
the sink in the kitchen is useful for washing......dishes....not people, there is a 'people' sink in the washroom...
...and our toilet gets used for.....toiletting....
i dread to think what inventive 'storage' use some might make of it if they 'only use the block'..
..well, its bound to be something totally not related to a toilet..
lets see....i leave my cassette at home as we 'only use the block'...the void toilet locker makes a great space for storing wine/books/CDs/shoes/or even bread if you dont have an oven?
and as for a bowl full of crocks being carted around the site? no thanks..is a onesie the default outfit for this operation?.....

Corners, youre taking everything far too seriously..
no one is mocking anyone....if you cant have a bit of fun (leg pull, remember those...?) about folk traipsing around the site in onsies, twosies or dressing gowns, then thats a bit sad in itself....

In my teardrop, I am able to sit on the toilet, wash the pots, and roll my sausage' on the barbie......without having to mince over to the toilet block in my leopard skin nylon onesie

Just for the avoidance of any doubt, should any of you see me on site dressed in a bright orange one piece garment it is actually a set of overalls - and fire resistant at that! Ideal fast appearance outside when one is otherwise unattired.

As we have a seasonal pitch on a basic facility site, the question of using site facilities doesn't apply to us. However, we now have the added convenience of a caravan washing machine which we purchased from the warden a couple of days ago. My wife finds
it's much better now that she no longer has to do the laundry by hand.0 -

We use the site facilities if they're provided. Why not, better in my opinion that trying to use the 'dolls house toys' in the motorhome. Don't get me wrong, the motorhome facilities are OK for occasional use but I'd much rather use the full size facilities
available. Also you can have a chat with others on site and get loads of local information etc and make new friends. I'd miss that if I was in my van all the time.0 -

Now wouldn't one of those be a good idea? Perhaps something like those robot lawnmowers, but attached to a hose, and which you could 'stick' on the side of the van, where it would slowly go all over, lathering, rinsing, and then waxing!
