Leaking from where on the gas bottle? If from where the pig tail connects, this can often be caused by overtightening. If the pigtail is damaged in that manner, I doubt it would be covered by the warranty. however, they are not very expensive.

If you're wanting a new pigtail under warranty get the Calor response in writing and then speak to them again.

Spend £29 on a gaslow pigtail and get on with your caravanning, it will be leaking where the pigtail joins the bottle, because manufacturers will fit the cheapest crapiest pigtail they can get away with.

I wouldn't bother. Having experienced a similar response from this company in the past, is why I bought from a dealer in Bawtry and travel there and back for servicing and warranty work as opposed to using this outfit on my doorstep.

Actually our Swift van was supplied new with a stainless steel pigtail. Which is far from being the cheapest. Unfortunately it wasn't POL at the bottle end, so we had to replace it anyway.

On balance I would think Calor is right. They would be sending the bottle back out and would never risk using a faulty one. I cannot understand why a dealer would deliberately give you the wrong information though as it would not benefit them and could rebound
on them badly if the wrong advice caused a fire. Sounds like it was not checked properley.0 -
