How many people belong to both CC and C&CC
We joined the C & CC this year for the first time while retaining our CC membership. Effectively it has doubled the number of CL/CS that are available to us.
Just wondering how many people on this forum are members of both clubs

We used to be members of both, only kept on CC at moment for CLs. You don't have to be a member of C&CC to use listed sites, so this suits us. Would rejoin if we needed more places to choose from, but we are doing fine at moment.

We use both clubs, always have done, tend to use the CC more but that's because the sites are more often in the places we want to visit. Haven't used a CS as we like the 5 van idea, a bit quieter without tents, no doubt will give one a try at some point.

We had a CS to ourselves in August last year Brue! Couldn't believe our luck. CL quarter of a mile away owned by same people was full, 5 vans. Discovered this one while camping a few years ago, and go back on a regular basis, very nice.

Only a member of the CC now, dont like being told which site i must go on (yes, i know you are supposed to be able to choose, but on several occasions we werent given an alternative....because we were a motorhome.the sites were not full). Much prefer the CC. And choosing your own pitch.

Only a member of the CC at the moment, have thought about joining theC&CC club, but at the moment have plenty of choice just using CL'S and CC sites.

I've been a CC member for 10 years, since we had part part shares in a motorhome with my in-laws. I recently joined the C&CC as well, mainly to take advantage of the Arrival breakdown scheme as an add on to my many years' membership of the RAC. Soon after
we got our caravan in 2011, the car broke down on the M25 and the RAC recovered our car home, and our caravan to its storage site, but I always worry if something on the caravan breaks down. Decided, finally, to do something about it. Haven't tried any of
the C&CC sites yet, though, as already had our late summer holidays booked.0 -
We are members of both clubs. We only occasionally stay on club sites nowadays, but generally find CC sites better than C&CC (with a few notable exceptions) We have found some lovely CL's & CS's. but tend to use the CS's only out of high season as they
can become very busy & noisy when they pack in a load of tents!0 -
We belong to both but rarely use C&CC unless in Scotland where their sites tend to fill gaps in the CC network. We probably wouldn't bother to renew each year if it wasn't for having half price veteran membership.

We belong to both clubs. Tend to use CC sites and CLs mostly. CC sites tend to be more consistent, but having said that, 3 of the nicest sites we've stayed on recently have been C&CC (Priddy, Devizes and Polstead). It helps that we get ACR at C&CC sites
which does tend to keep the cost down.0 -
Given the investment we have all made in our units then the cost of being in both clubs is insignificant.
However I know some who would not join the CC under any circumstances and I know some who would not join the C&CC under any circumstances.
Funny old world

We belong to both, have done for about 25yrs, but mainly use C&CC. If you like non facility sites, hate having to book ahead and like to visit areas where there are no sites, then C&CC THS sites take some beating. Cheap as chips too, arrive when you like
and leave when you like.0 -
I've been a member of both clubs since I started caravaning. I still use both clubs sites but over the last couple of years I seem to be using more CC&C sites. Also their insurance is cheaper.

We joined the CCC earlier this year so we could use their site at Devizes as we planned on staying their on lots of weekends as it's the closest site to us.

We are BD, as Peegeenine says, check out the CCC temporary hliday sites (THS) they are informal, many not requiring booking, cheap, simple, come and go as you please....how touring should be.

We belong to both and joined the C&CC purely to use one CS not far from home which is absolutely beautiful. However, we stayed on our first C&CC site earlier this year and found it unfriendly and units packed in like sardines when it wasn't necessary. Will
be wary of using their sites again.0 -
I have been a member of C&CC for 10 years, started to exhaust the club sites and CS's and wanted the option of more alternatives, so joined CC last year. I must say I love the sites that we've tried, both club sites and CL's - and we take advantage of
the great ferry prices combined with camping cheques - so we haven't stayed at a C&CC site since joining CC. I considered not renewing with C&CC this year - but have stayed as the insurance is much cheaper, even with the membership cost.0 -
I first joined the CC 50 years ago - and 8 years ago added the C & CC. I use both and find the THS system very hard to beat. I found the CC less friendly when I was on the budget end of outfits - strangely people seem more friendly now I have reasonably modern outfit! Never came across that sort of snobbery with the C & CC. Both have their good and not so good points - but I think if I had to go down budget I would stay with the C & CC and give up the CC - although I would miss CT!
