Stolen - 2010 Compass Venture 495
Was supposed to going on holiday today at Haycroft Dorset . Unfortunately our Caravan was stolen on Monday so had to cancel. We would be grateful if the community could keep their eyes peeled on their travels.2010 Compass Venture 495. We rang Elldis and
it's quite a rare model, only 32 in existence so should be easier to spot. I know deep down we won't see it again, but it's worth a try, ty.

I felt a bit sick when I read your post, can only imagine how you are feeling.
Hope you manage to get another holiday arranged. You'll probably need it after this.

Sounds daft but do you have a picture you could post so it might help with identifying the van

Really sorry to read this timkel. The same thing happened to us 8 years ago. We had packed the van all ready to go away for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We packed the van 2 days before we were due to leave ...... went to collect it from the storage
2 days later, but it had goneNothing can compensate for your lost holiday or how you are feeling at the moment (we felt completely violated .. ) But I hope your insurance company deals with it quickly
We are a long way north of you, but will keep an eye out

Ty for all yor kind comments. No pictures.looks like a Elldis Explore.but is a Compass Venture.Caught on CCTV 4 or 5 pairs of legs pushing it up our steep drive,so was planned, and couldnt get the plate off off the Ford Focus.Reported first thing on Monday
morning didnt see a Comminity Beat Officer until Friday night, what more can i say?0 -
So sorry to hear of your loss. Do you want to share where in Northamptonshire you are? Its just that a week last Friday I was woken at 3am by the sound of someone rattling one of our wheel clamps I shot out of bed in time to see someone scuttling around
the front of our van by which time the security light came on round the other side. The man crossed the road and I watched him walk to the end of the road looking over his shoulder all the time. He then looked over the fence of the house at the end of the
road at the van parked there he then disappeaed out of sight.0 -

when OH's bag was stolen from the luggage rack on a train journey a couple of weeks earlier. The bag (including contents) was worth about 40 quid. We even had a letter from victim support on that occasion0 -

Terribly upsetting , but would you really want the van back not knowing what they have done to it or in it
me personally if my van was stolen and not found in a very short time would definatly not want it back ,

To be honest I don't think I'd want it back, I was just so bloody angry . I'm just paranoid that someone's been on my property, I hate to think how people who've had their houses burgled feel. Not gonna let it put me off, went van shopping yesterday ?

timkel, like you ... we were bloody angry (furious actually) We were more upset about losing items of sentimental value, the fact we had to cancel our holiday, and the whole uncomfortable feeling of someone stealing something we had worked bloody hard for
We were livid, when we found out that the wreck of our caravan had been recovered 2 days after it was stolen, but we weren't informed for 2 months
