Similarly, I turn the gas on at the start of the holiday and, if I remember, off at the end......

Ian really how can the OP get any answers if you keep going off topic, remember the guidelines!

Laughing.......  Corners, it seems that we are not just the only two who turn our gas off regularly. What's the 30secs a day that
    it takes any way?,

Phillippa......glad that my earlier post was of help to you. Is everything working as it should now?

(please try to ignore all the petty bickering and snide comments from some, which must be a great distraction)

Come on chaps - Ian doesn't like this sort of banter going off topic (except when he's doing it of course)

Ian, yes everything is working well now thanks.  Apart froM the site having power cuts but nothing I can do about that.  Power has been off (again) for nearly three hours now.  Wardens are out.  Think they can reset it when they get back.

Glad that you've sorted out your original problem, Phillippa. It's such a shame about the loss of power, not really satisfactory on a club site.

Good to hear, Phillippa. The wardens there seem to spend a lot of time off site......especially when there are so many problems with the power supplies, that need them to be on site to fix.

Unless i miised it ,We have yet to be advised of the"club site" she is on ,as i am sure the "wardens" need some form of "training"

wasn't it Borrowdale? I think that's only a two warden site (Mr & Mrs) shocking that the club gives them time off and that they can take this time even going off site.

I must have missed that, then I agree the wardens will only be on about 36hrs a week, so they should being on their own, get off site as often as possible.

She said, on pg 2, that she was staying at Borrowdale, so I guess she must mean the Manesty site.

The wardens here are very nice, they obviously can't be here all the time but did answer their mobile phone and came back. unfortunately it turned out it was a major power cut in the whole valley not a site specific problem this time!

Hope that the power's back on now. At least knowing that there's no toilet block you should be well prepared to for most eventualities.

I have recently posted a new discussion about a similar "Carbon monoxide alarm going off" situation.
