What can you do with a legless CADAC?  Sad

Use less alcohol in your cooking?

DIf it's the older type with the gas valve on the stem then not a lot, but if it's the later one with the valve fitted to the main bowl part then stick it on some bricks and enjoy yourself.

Get a real el cheap o and use that as the stand?  Under a tender should do it.  Search junk and charity shops for something.

    DD, are you in Spain?Wink

getting the BBQ out to cook the bacon/eggs here in Ludlow at 1 deg C would require a stiff constitution....

and if you didnt have one before, you would after a few minutes out in these temps....Undecided

I don't know how long you are away for DD, but if it's for quite a time and you are desperate to use the Cadac, then you could always order a new set of legs from Towler and Staines and get them delivered to the site.  It'd probably cost a bit though. Smile

Spain, I wish BB.  Forest of Dean, Whitemeads, in the Dell a frost pocket out of the wind and glorious when the sun shines.  Minus 4C Thursday night but toasty in the van.

Write your comments here...Forest of Dean ,Caravans ,Lydney. do or did? Cadac............maybe they have spares.

Thanks for the advice ADP1963.  We are off home next week and I have been informed, in no uncertain terms, that in between times most of our meals will be taken out
    Embarassed.

Write your comments here...Saracens Head Symonds Yat East, right beside the river, we have had lovely meals there, mainly in the summer.

From  your  last  paragraph  DD,  am  I  right  in  making  the  assumption  that  somebody  accidentally  on  purpose  ensured  that  the  errant  Cadac  legs  were  no  small  distance  from  your  vehicle  when  you  left  home  ??

Laughing I wouldn't know never been in those!  I just thought you might find an appropriate stand from some piece of junk - not a branded one!  I stood outside yesterday collecting for Marie Curie for 2 hours - I could easily have cooked lunch or breaky in my thermals and fleece lined trousers!  And been warmer I daresay!  It certainly wasn't typical BBQ weather but quite doable!

So glad you found them and that I am not the only person who loses things in the van (and at home for that matter!)  Bet you were looking for something else when you found the legs!

It's the 'put it somewhere safe' syndrome, then you forget where somewhere safe is
