I think if we come out, the value of the pound will fall, certainly in the short term and possibly for ever. (we are no longer a manufacturing nation, think about it!) which will make it more expensive to holiday on the Continent and for that matter anywhere else.

I used to go to the Continent with my parents in the 60s and we got by then and we will get by in the future whatever form it may take.As for "hostility" well Euroscepticism is not confined to the UK population so I doubt that the Continentals would take
a Brexit as a personal affront-it might even catch on elsewhere?...I think further exists is what some in the EU are worried about

I did notice that as soon as the agreement was reached last week the French issued notices to all the migrants in Calais, me thinks if we vote to get out they would reverse this and just let the migrants run riot and let thm into the tunnel and ferry terminal
so they can get rid of them by letting them over here.0 -
If we vote to leave, what will happen to EU nationals living in UK? Will they need to apply for visas to remain?
Our son has a Dutch partner who came to UK about 10 years ago to study for her Masters degree in English. She has lived and worked here ever since. Would she have to apply for a visa in order to stay here?

It's too early to say. It depends on what conditions would be negotiated between the EU and the UK at the time of leaving the EU. It is quite possible that 'grandfahter rights' might apply for those involved.
There are so many things that would have to be resolved. Would UK passports, for example, be invalidated because they carry the heading 'European Union' on the cover and on page 1 and the UK could issue those beloved dark blue passports again?

Got to say if the UK voted to leave. If I was the French Goverment the first thing that I would do is deport all the British border guards that are stationed in Calais.
...Then we would put all our border Guards on the ferries,but it would not be in the interest of the French to do that and we would just revert to as it was before,which would mean faster for us through imigration

I don't think any of the other countries would take immature actions like that as they have too much to lose. it is now apparent that a lot of Europeans aren't too enamoured with the EU. I don't believe an exit decision wold have any effect on my touring

Dont panic Mr Mannering we've stopped em once we'll do it again, as you know they dont like it up em, three and a half months sit listen sort through the chaff and make a honest oppinion and vote like-wise..

I am not really bothered what colour it is, as long as they don't expect me to pay to replace it before it is due.

I don't think anybody really knows. As requested I'm keeping this without political opinion. The following are possible:
Longer waits to get into/out of a EU country, as no so called 'fast track' lane
Possible visa requirements
No EHIC so fewer reciprocal health benefits
Duty free restrictions imposed (e.g. limited purchases for example on buying wine in France)
Additional taxes, for example on permanent pitches, storage
Roaming charges reintroducedBut again nobody really knows as there will be lots of negotiation. any restriction on goods would be from uk gov,
visa !! what fast track ? Health like now get your own cover like in Red pennant ! and as for extra taxes on pitch why!! would they and it would be discrimation under thet own laws ! Has for mobile phone I can live with out for holiday and ring home landline

I appreciate that there are a few who don't think a mobile phone is that important but for many of us it is. I can't send a text message from a landline just as one example. For those that tour for a month or two at a time, or even longer, you can't always
get WiFi so having the ability to use your phone for data is very useful. In the last year or so we have just reached the situation where the cost of calls and use of data from within Europe have reduced to reasonable levels. One possibility of exit would
be to see us going back to the bad old days when it cost £1 a minute, or more, to make a voice call.David

if required . some people need to talk sense (in my opinion)Write your comments here...You do not have to get red penant as you will get recipricol health care in the EU as you get at home however it is probably prudent to do so to ensure if you ahve any major issues you would be catered for to get you home etc.
When oyu go abroad in the EU oyu can go through the EU channel "fast rack" however this may stop and my guess is it would stop to make it awkward for us.
French would stop guarding the tunnel and ports and jsut elt the imigrants over to get rid and as David says most of us rely on a phone or tablet in daily life not jsut for the calling aspect but facebook, internet, texting etc. And as he points out if
Vodafone etc. can charge you £3 a minute they will.0
